before there were chat rooms on the net...

    there were chat lines, where you could call this 1-800 number and chat with random people, and even multiple people at a time if you were in a room, does anybody remember those?..they don't seem to exist anymore except for random hookups.

    They most certainly do my friend!

    They are not 800#'s though..

    www.talkee.com hosts MANY OF THESE LINES THRUOUT THE COUNTRY :)


    I prefer stand alone 'bridges' though (The talkee lines have too many idiots on them for my liking)
