anyone see this?? and did you notice that like a rolling stone was number one, then the rolling stones "I cant get no satisfaction" was number two?? there were some good songs on there too, ones that totally shocked me..
FLAVOR FLAAAAAAAAAAAAVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV and no rat, but mariah carey's version of def leppards bringing on the heartbreak did.
I have to admit I felt ready to slap some of the people who voted that SOME of those songs were in the top 500 ever. Some of them are awful and annoying songs!!!!!!! Like.."Hey Ya". NOT a good song. It's f*uckin' annoying!
yup I noticed that too........ it was wish you were here, another brick in the wall and umm...... what was the other one? and I thought the artist's personal top 10s were interesting too.... I think slash has the best taste.
Comfortably Numb. I think Tom Morello and Ozzy had some good list too, Brian Wilson put down 5 beach boys songs in his.
yeah, I automatically discredit anyone that puts their own songs or albums in a list. comfortably numb, thats right..... it was the first one listed, and that was 300 something.
That list was sort of bullshit. I cant believe they put "like a rolling stone" as number one! there are plenty of better songs bob dylan has done. and why the fuck is nirvana number 9 with teen spirit? sure, it may of givin grunge to the world and what not, but as songs go its not that good!
I've been sick of Rolling Stone for a long time. It's a pathetic excuse for a music magazine. Half the magazine is ads, too.
That it is, the 1st 20 pages in this issue are ads, none of them music ads either, jeez, you'd think in a music magazine they'd have more then like 5 music ads.
Yeah, I'm 31 and couldn't stand most of those songs. It's obvioulsy chosen by some 40 year old guy who only listens to the "classic rock" station. Which by the way are starting to play those used to be popular G & R songs and which also made it into the top 500. Huh? Very little 90's music. What like 4 '00+ songs. I believe we're in a music rut right now but not for the past 10 years.
