If you recognize anyone in the film and know how to get in touch with them, please direct them to the link! Thanks and lovin all of yall!! http://vimeo.com/11812524 I really hope you guys like it. Any comments are much appreciated! Liz
its a great documenery thank you for sharring it. i was hoping to find it all day yesterday and then poof it was here. you did a great job! i hope to see more documentrys from you. thank you for letting my voice be heard.
I had to come back to this. The guy, one of the main speakers, said that some of the people there had issues, maybe mental problems. This made me think, what if people that did have certain kinds of issues like that could really flourish in an environment like that. Society is very oppresive towards people with such issues and would rather pacify them with drugs and commit them to some institution. By living in a place like that they can learn that people will love and respect them, and that they can be an active part of some society. Thus elimination a large part of their problem.
I've had the opportunity to show this documentary to several Ocala professional people who have only heard negative things about Family. Last friday It was shown in a mental health Facility to a particular counselor who was amazed at how we accept, cope and deal with some of our issues. ALL who have watched it think it is wonderful!!!!! Any Road Family or Dial-up user's coming thru or near Ocala who wish to see it just holler. Hugs, Tradin Bill a.k.a. Fla_Hippy
wow i was blown away i need waht they have in my life so bad it brought tears to my eyes im so glad you posted this as i am preparing to go to my first gathering down in Texas i may never come back.
cowboy! I'm so glad you found it on here! thank you for letting me share your voice, you were a star if you'd like a copy of the dvd I can definitely mail you one if you send me an address. my email is ehayes43@comcast.net if you'd like one!! and that's crazy you were trying to find it the day before.. fate! lunarverse: that's exactly what i was thinking. people who don't necessarily flourish in normal society CAN thrive in rainbow. people are much more loving and understanding in rainbowland, and give people the opportunity to get past certain obstacles in their lives. not everyone is fortunate enough to be born into a loving and nurturing world, and rainbow gatherings provide that support for people who really need it. tradin bill: i'm so glad you've been showing people it! and that everyone has loved it!! rainbow truly is a wonderful place, and i have no idea why so many people look at it in a negative light. it is honestly the most loving society i've ever been in, and it changed me and the way i look at everything! i think everybody should give it a chance! letingo: aw I wish i was in texas right now to stop by for awhile. i'm sure you will love it, it's amazing!
Many of my formative experiances w/ Rainbow Family were with Deep East By God Texas folks. I ain't been right since
Wow Liz! Thank you so much for bringing that to us. It is a place where people can be themselves, can better themselves, can share themselves. And just when you think you've got the place figured out, it moves somewhere else and blesses people in the new place.
Thanks Liz !! I enjoyed it so much, rainbow gatherings seem amazing, they should be mandatory, meybe the world would be a better place, cant wait to go to my first one
Nice documentary. I only went to one gathering before and I saw a few people I knew in that video it was nice , it reminded me of the good times I had at the rainbow gathering. I got a lot of shit on my mind and was thinking of joining the army but after seeing those people and all the love there and remembering the good times I had i think ima hit the road again to some gatherings. Great documentary man. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Liz, Do you (or anyone else) have any advise on how to get word on the next Rainbow Gathering? I realize there may be the need to be discreet to avoid tipping off the wrong people. Private message if you prefer...
I really liked this. Its good to see a positive film clip. Some of those over on U tube seem to be more confrontational with the forest service. Peace from snowtiggernd
The guy eating the apple with the glasses and long hair looks exactly like Jack Casady. Beautiful documentary though. Loved it.
