It's the usual barefooting before and after routine for me, plus kicking off flip-flops in the office and leaving them under the desk. With day temperatures in the high 80s (89.6F/32°C yesterday) I am joined in this by quite a few co-workers, too (however, mine are the only male bare feet...).

Yesterday evening I had the wonderful pleasure of splashing in cool puddles, as the day's heat dissolved into pleasant coolness (dropping to 66.2F/19°C) after a large stripe of fierce thunderstorms had moved over the western part of Germany. I was lucky to ride out the heavy rain by moving underneath it, sitting in the tram, so that there was only light rain coming down (which I welcomed!), as I stepped out of the tram and had my bare feet feel cool and wet pavement... I made sure not to miss a puddle, and even splashed actively in them, letting my inner child come out to the max. :D

Wiggling bare toes that love puddles,

Any issues with the marshals on the golf course? I'm not a golfer, but we used to "play" at times when I was in school. I put play in quotes because the reality was that it was four guys, a golf cart, some clubs, and a lot of beer! A few holes in we didn't give a shit anymore! My house backs up to a golf course but I'm not a golfer. All I'd do is whack deep divots in the ground!

Anyhow, when we played in school, we'd usually behave ourselves on the first hole or two. As soon as we were out of sight of the clubhouse we'd kick off our shoes, peel off our shirts, and work on our tans! I remember the marshals would come by periodically and get on our case about not wearing shirts. I don't remember playing barefoot being an issue, but it's been a number of years. Any comments about the bare feet?

no problems at all with being barefoot although they do have an issue with playing without a shirt in fact it is mentioned in the rules of play. The course was on the university (Texas A&M) so that might have a bit to do with no problems being barefoot.

I got kicked out of a store for the first time!

My friend and I were pulling an all-nighter, so we went to Wal-Mart at 5 AM and I decided this would be a great time to explore the place barefoot. The floors are actually quite nice in Wal-Mart, and considering the amount of floor I walked on, my feet weren't even THAT dirty. It was cool; there was hardly anyone there.

    UNTIL...

Some guy who worked there came up to me and said "I hate to tell you this, but you need shoes to be in here."

I said, "Oh. Is that company policy?"

He proceeded to tell me it was a state law. I told him I had checked OSHA, the Dept. of Health, the state laws, and the city laws, and that there were none against going barefoot in establishments. He then said it was company policy (which I KNOW it isn't; I've seen the letter from some high-up guy saying it's ok to go barefoot in Wal-Mart).

It didn't really piss me off THAT much. I was leaving anyway. I was pissed that he would tell such a stupid bald-faced lie, though, and I kind of wanted to make a wager with him, but he was a pleasant enough liar that I didn't want to steal his money :D I actually felt like I had reached a milestone in my life: being kicked out of Wal-Mart at 5:45 in the morning for being barefoot. Yyyyep.

Haha, I guess you could say I celebrated at Perkin's afterward, but we were going there anyway. I didn't go barefoot there; I was a bit gun-shy after the Wal-Mart experience. I'm glad at least my friends are very accepting of my affinity for barefooting :)

Took a short vacation last week. My foot was bare most of the time. No hassles.:)

Over the weekend I had to walk more than 5 miles barefoot carrying a 30-something-ish pound tire that blew out. 80+ degree weather, combined with the added weight from my wheel/tire, and almost gravel like surfaces leave me with still sore feet today.

Sadly I haven't really gone anywhere barefoot today, though I am barefoot now.

Lately I've got really into two things. The first is taking my girlfriend's dog to the field to play fetch barefoot. The alleyway to the field is a little painful to walk over, but it's worth it once I get to the field. There's nothing like feeling the grass between my toes while I run around with the dog.

The second is driving barefoot. I went mountain boarding with a friend a few weeks back, and he drove us home barefoot. The idea had never even occurred to me. Now if I'm driving on a hot day I'm almost always barefoot. It's great as my car has a vent over my feet, the cold air feels amazing on them.

Yesterday was the usual barefoot routine of using public transport before and after work, doing some grocery shopping in the mall adjacent to the central station after work, too - all unhassled. Now that temperatures have dropped after some light rain had come yesterday night, the heat wave with more than 30°C seems to be over - however, I doubt that this will prompt more people to bare their soles, even though it's still warm enough at over 20°C.

This morning I have been barefoot (and nude) having my morning smoke and first coffee on the balcony, enjoying the pleasantly mild 19°C. In a short while, it will be off to work, barefoot of course, where I will don flip-flops inside the office (to be slipped off as soon as I'm sitting at my desk). And since there is still some slight rain forecast for today, I will most likely enjoy wet surfaces and puddles to splash through.

    Wiggling very happy bare toes,

At the airport in Georgia! Most looks I've got so far. :D Do they allow you to go barefoot at amusement parks (e.g. Six Flags) like on the roller coasters? Or at least throughout the park..?

I stayed home most of the day since it was in the 100's but later went on a walk at 9 and was the first time I left my house with no shoes/flip-flops I usually use them to walk on gravel but I avoided it and it was the most peaceful walk of my life no noise other than nature.

The bank-unexpectedly! I went to use the ATM at the same location and was surprised to learn it was being serviced. So I went inside and cued in the line behind three other patrons for sever minutes. Needless to say, not one person said anything. I've also gone barefoot several times this summer at various Store Twenty-Fours and Tedeschi Stores without hassle. That's good enough for me.:)

A trample through the woods, where the biggest danger was not from thorns etc but from ignorantly shattered broken glass.... Managed to avoid any injuries, but did get a tiny splinter of glass in my foot on the pavement when walking into Bulwell which caused no damage. Feet very dirty today....

I was walking somewhere I normally do barefoot and noticed tons of broken glass.. It has never cut me for the many times I traveled through there in the dark with no shoes.. Where I hurt my feet is near or in my house, and that pisses me off...
or like stupid mother fuckers house ie mother: leaves her crap all over her floor, tripping on stuff.. she does that shit intentionally cause I dont wear shoes alot, and neither does my uncle. she just being ignorant putting shit in the way..
