So I have a list of names I've been going through to try to decide on a middle name, and out of curiosity I was looking up how popular each name was on my birth year. Did you know the name Precious for girls in the late 80's to late 90's was ranking in the 400's every year and actually managed to peak at 380 one year. WTF is wrong with these parents You know Chastity was also around #800 in the 1980's as a name, I would love to meet the woman named Precious Chastity, I mean assuming she didn't change her name the second she turned 18. I use to have a list of near 20 names I really liked for a middle name, now I'm down to 4 -Elyse -Amy -Iris -Lydia My goal is to finally settle on one today since I've been indecisive over 5 names for months at this point.
Elyse seems to be a popular choice, it's actually my least favorite of the 4, but it does flow really well with my first name, hence why it even made it to the last 4.
All this time, I thought you were a boy (wait, are you? )... it's ok, a lot of people thought I was at first too. But, Elyse or Iris. I like the way Elyse looks written but don't like the way it sounds as much. Overall, I guess I'd go with Iris but it does help to know your first name, it might have no flow. Well, have fun!
Iris? like in your eye? how about.. Irie or is it spelled Ire? pronounced "eye ree" jamaican word.. basically just means it's all gooood
My best friend's name is Elyse... not that I'd expect that to have any effect on your decision... pick whatever name you feel fits best... flows best with your first and last name.
It didn't effect it. But I still went with Elyse <3:xmastree: Hope Elyse just flows too well not to go with.
How about Sydney? TheMadcapSydney. lol I've always thought Sydney was a nice female name. Of the four, I think Elyse is probably my favorite, as well. Lydia sounds like an old-lady name, imo. Congrats on making a decision though. It would be tough to decide on a name for myself, were I to change it.
It's funny I posted the same exact thing on both forums I go to and the opposite happened on both, most people on the other said go with Lydia and one poster said Iris was an old lady name.
Yeah I guess Iris sounds like an old-lady name too, but I'm thinking there could be some non-old-lady ways to use it. Elyse is still my favorite. When are you planning of officially changing your name? Also, what's the price range name changes?
i think the name Lydia is beautiful <3 but... Erissa, i just love that name. i've never met anybody with that name, but i love the way it sounds.
Most popular female name ive herd is MARIE i really like that name . Of course if i have a daughter her namw is going to be BROOK LYNN
I LOVE this name! My friends daughter is named Ire and it's SOOOO pretty! jmo tho. Out of the four, I like Elyse. (Another friends daughters name )
Lydia is the name of the girl from Beetlejuice is it not? I think Iris sounds the best out of those names. Iris is a feminine given name derived from the Greek Ιρις, meaning "rainbow." Iris was the Greek goddess of the rainbow.
