I've always wanted to try it, but I've read some things like that if you are likely to have schizophrenia one day, the LSD can make it happen after like one trip. I know it affects people in different ways, many people can take it loads and be fine, and some others can take it once and be really screwed up. So is there anyway of knowing what will happen based on like family history or something like that, or do you need to try it to find out?
If you really need to know, you must visit the oracle in the temple of zaltron. To get there you must pass the 3 elfins and follow the road of moxie until you come to Herger's house. Herger is A friendly ogre who will give you the key to the temple. Once you have the key you must go through the forest of whispers and avoid the many Ill tempered gnomes that live there. Once out of the forest, you begin a hike up the mountain of mercury with many treacherous landscapes and creatures such as centaurs and giant centipedes that you may encounter. The temple sits atop this mountain so once you reach the top the answer for you awaits inside. You should take LSD...it hasn't affected me at all.
Everyone is schizophrenic, must likely LSD will take you out of your schizophrenia! schizophrenia is when you are split, and LSD will dissolve the everything that makes you split. But be careful, cause you can go crazy, and you will go crazy, if you try to fight it! If you let it happen, after the chaos, after all ropes have been cut, all the boundaries dissolved, you will come out a new man, a whole man, a fresh man! You will get a glimpse of your oneness, your non-separation from anything else.
Most of these replies are awfully irresponsible. Check your family history for schizophrenia or other mental disorders.
It's almost like it's not a matter of choice. Possibly if you're here, asking this question the choice has already been made and you're just filling in the blanks - which isn't a bad idea. Hope you're paying attention to the all-important concepts of set and setting. Outside is often a good place. Some people watch movies, TV, or video games, but I just don't understand that. LSD is THE prototypical psychedelic and it's powerful. Lots of people would agree that a weak or low-dose trip isn't a good idea. Re mental illness: people with thought disorders or a psychosis like schizophrenia should avoid LSD. Keep hanging out on this forum - good experience here. Here's something to help in understanding (page down to articles): http://csp.org/practices/entheogens/entheogens.html
Just take it. You will look at life a whole new way. If you are doubting it though then dont even try. You will have a horrible trip. I just keep a clear mind dont let things bug me and when i get a set of nice sugar cubes like i did the other day i just pop them in my mouth sit back in my hammock and relax until mother nature tells me its time to explore then i go for a walk and pick flowers and other gay shit that i dont like to say i do hahahaha
You need to wake the fuck up dude. Schizophrenia is a neurological condition that can be induced by a VIRUS. Of course you already came and said it better. Thanks man. I hate to sound like such a negitive nancy, I love psyches and think they offer beautiful experiances... but it just annoies the hell out of me when people act like it's the key to true enlightment and oneness with univerce. No man, life is. Taking psychedelics just may or may not be a part of that journy for.
If you feel uneasy about taking it then don't. If you wanna' then fuck what everyone else says and do it.
I hate when people romanticize mental illness. How many people do you know who suffer from schizophrenia? There is absolutly nothing romantic or poetic about it.
