http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/us/2010/07/20/sotvo.il.hoarder.death.cnn.html I'm just flabbergasted, how did she take a shower?...how did she eat?, hell how did she even go to the bathroom? I don't even know how she survived that long without proper ventilation and such...
I can understand that it is an illness and hoarders have a problem. If there were others how did this then continue unless they were also hoarders? Baffling.
I watch the TV show Hoarders all the time but there’s at least access into the home They use tunnels to get around – that’s FUCKED UP Hotwater
My high school boyfriend lived in a hoarding house...his mother was the scary teacher that all the kids hated to get. She had stacks of papers, newspaper, garbage, everything...with paths clear to get from room to room. Her bed had a small clear spot on it whereshe slept. The kitchen was covered in dirty dishes, and the dsh washer was always open and full even though it was just the mother and son living there. (she was a man-hater and refused to tell him who his father was) Scary.
I have never met a hoarder. A few what I would call pack rats but never to an extreme. It must be very difficult for someone to live with a person who is a hoarder and to cope with that.
I know it is an illness and like so many other illnesses it has a ripple affect on all those around the person who is not well. Must be very difficult to cope with for everyone.
Normal in the sense that she wasn’t a rich 82 year old woman who was discovered dead in her home surrounded by antique furniture, jewelry, rare book collections, along with Persian tapestry and Picasso paintings hanging from the walls ….ehhhh…. which might provide a different picture Hotwater
