I'm either naively shocked that this thread hasn't been made yet, or I'm posting a thread that pops up 6 times every week or so.
Because I didn't want to make a thread just for mine and seem like an advertising whore

You can find my tunes at www.myspace.com/triptychtransposition. I am interested in the power of improvisation, and how that intertwines with one's soul, I believe that improvisation is a powerful representation of one's soul, total magic being produced.

Comments or criticism is much appreciated.

By the way, to both of the above posters, that was some great music. I hope I remember to put it on during a trip one day.

People who look for music do it in the forum marked "Music" - go figger! So this thread is another example of why the performing arts forum doesnt work as well as it should. Too many conflicting forums lead folks away from what they are really looking for. This kind of thread has been tried in this forum before but dies because only performing artists look in the forum for performing arts.

that being said, you can check out www.southerncomfortbluesband.com for some tunes or YouTube - socomfy's Channel for some vids from a forumer!

I thought I would try to keep this thread going so folks would keep adding their work! I am diggin hearing everyones music, I know there must be more!

This is my work on bass and sharing songwriting duties. The recordings are from 1994 on vintage analog 8Track. We originally formed for a party in 1990 and didnt have a name. When the newspaper called and wanted to know what we were named I opened a book and took the first word I found. Trismegistus is a title for Hermes and we went with that for the party and it stuck for a long time. It means Thrice Great and we enjoyed hearing people try to pronounce it :D

We got a nice little following from these recordings and still enjoy doing these songs at shows sometimes - there is NO feeling in the world as good as playing a song you wrote and having the audience know the words!

Hmmm, I rather liked the jammy feel of 12th Planet. not as bad as you think it is.

here is some very rough music recorded mostly with the internal mic in our laptop, but check 'er out... http://www.myspace.com/teamleary

I recently found an old shitty mic, an original SOCUM (sp?) Navy Seals play station thing, but to my surprise it worked. So here's a free jam I just recorded.....it's an attempt at "art." (not nessecarily "good") It's a little progression based on Ukulele chords, so I just barred my guitar on the fourth fret to make it sound more "Ukish" if you will. I should attempt to play a similar thing on my Ukulele and see how they sound in comparison.

(Just click listen or download I suppose)

Same basic chord progression as above with some other improv thrown in...just this time I tried it with a pick:

This was the first thing I recorded in a bit of a hurry:

@thumontico, really good music man...I like the electric.

@earthmother....holy shit, those sound really good and clean....amazing music...the lyrics are simply a very nice bonus. I can only hope to be able to play that fluently some day......

@ Ocean Bionic I like it a lot man....that sounds pretty clear for a computer mic, I like the guitar very much. That Castles and Clovers sounds like a contemporary acoustic Beatles song.

You all make me feel like I have MUCH room for improvement. Thanks for the inspiration guys.
