I've only have had one batch of window pane. (I think maybe 5 hits.)
The ones I had were sweet tasting and did melt on your tongue.

They were a little bit brittle, which made them a little tricky to break apart because they might shatter...but not a big deal.

(Funny thing...the guy I got them from said they were better than blotter because "you can only fit so much acid on a piece of blotter." I just smiled at him, knowing that you can fit plenty of acid on a standard piece of blotter.)

yea they do melt, but sometimes it would take a while. I had got some that where more rubberie, some we even had to use a razor to cut apart because they were so strechy, other that would just crack. I seem to remember the rubberie ones not melting as good and chewing on them to break em up to melt quicker.

Why, it's still the same molecule as in blotter.
Windowpane or gels are made by mixing LSD with gelatin and pouring it out into a sheet and allowing it to dry. Blotter is much easier to handle and transport. Windowpane gained a reputation because the first winowpane made in the early 70's were about 270ugs per hit and you could get 4-way that was closer to 1000+ugs. I only had it once in the late 70's and it was about 200ugs. But it was still LSD. All the different types are only different carrier mediums for the molecule.
The best form to get LSD is liquid. After that I prefer microdots or some other pill form due to the fact that they are less susceptible to degradation than liquid or blotter. But pill forms require the extra expense of a press and all that shit. Blotter tends too have the shortest shelf life, but offers the best ease of dividing doses and method of distribution. Even still LSD can have a fairly long shelf life if stored properly regardeless of the carrier medium.

That is why blotter and liquid are the two most prevelant forms today, practicality and economics.
Doesn't matter how you package it as long as there is enough inside the package.
