Hear about it every so often, someone robs a liquor store, kills the clerk, then gets away and the police can't find him. After a week they are still looking for him, the official story "we are close to finding him" then later he turns himself in and they put him away for 50+ years. If you've done something that they will lock you away in a place you will never see sunlight again and you have gotten away, why would you turn yourself in?

Maybe it's the notion that having to look over their shoulder and worrying about being recognized and reported isn't exactly freedom.... with the inevitable end game hanging over their head it may just be a case of getting it over with.

Depends on the crime. If you're on the run for rape then I'd hazard a guess that spending the rest of your life looking over your shoulder in case the police are following you is better than spending the rest of your life looking over your shoulder inside a prison full of big muscly guys with shaved heads.

For the same reason they committed the crime in the first place. Because their a piece of shit, a knuckle headed idiot!
A load their mother should have swallowed.
I hate people who have that gang banging thug mentality.
They're actions are the reason why we're living in a police state and most of our Freedoms are gone.

If it was a spur of the moment crime or one of passion, I could see someone regretting what they did and then turning themselves in.

Maybe they can not live with what they did.

did I leave out the full health care plan..
youre on the run with a tooth ache, its a really bad toof ache... you can keep on trying to get it better, maybe steal some money again to see a dentist , pain pills.. tired cant eat toof hurts.. might as well turn yourself in. There they will have to get you better right away. So they can begin the process of arraigning you ..

Made sense to me. The reason why we lose all our freedoms and liberties are because of idiots who abuse them.

Expending energy in the pursuit of hatred for individuals who are in the same boat we all are in as far as the future of freedom is why we're collectively unable to stem the tide.

The powers that be (government) will not check itself until it is forced to. Whether or not you approve of another persons lifestyle doesn't change that you're in the same boat as far as losing liberties. Blaming them is very convenient for the real thugs who hold elected office.

For fuck's sake the guy is just stating a fact here. Yes we are all in the same boat, and yes the government are the biggest thugs. How do you think they retain their power, or got there in the first place. But the fact remains that laws are invented in the first place because some people are unable to behave themselves. I and I don't think wotsit Harry believe that generating more laws and restricting our freedom is the way to deal with this, but this is what is causing the problem.

I hate these fucking sted head morons that exist within out society, but I don't blame them for being the way they are. I am not going to embrace them with love as though they are my brother though, I fucking hate them and I wish they would all die. The world would be a better place without them.
