I went to the old front gate a few nights ago to see what was going on
with cleanup... there was one car at bus villiage and 3 people, who
told me the others were over at back gate but that the busses had
    moved out...

what else I found was an orange male cat, with a black spot by his
shoulders and a flea collar. He is largish, muscular, not fat. looks
to be around 2 or 3 years old. very loving and friendly. he came
from a nice home and was well taken care of. Apparently he can hunt,
because he wasn't hungry, he just wanted to be pet and loved.

please let me know if you know of anyone who left a cat behind
matching this description.... he misses his family dearly, and if I
don't find the owner I'll have to find him a new home soon... he
doesn't want to live in my car untill I get a new bus.

    LOVE

I found a home for the cat! His new name is slayer, as he is going to be having fun and playing with rats :) apparently a week alone in the woods didn't leave him hungry, so I think he'll enjoy his new position....

Thank you for taking such good care of this cat. If you are still trying to find the owner, you might also want to post on

    http://rainbowfamilyonline.com/phpBB3/index.php

or other places on the web. You might also try calling some light lines or some regional pages. The most important thing is that the cat is ok, but it would be nice if the owner could be found.

probably a moot point now, but a couple of signs with contact info near the parking areas might be worthwhile. At this point though, I think everybody has cleared out.

Maybe it was a local cat.
