    Sorry about the provocative subjectline.

    I need a job in Oregon and cheap rent so I can continue to be a math nerd in college in hopes of becoming a growd up math nerd in the "Real World."

    My marketable skills include being a math nerd, being reasonable, being 27 and having plenty of work experience.

    I worked customer service for a big Chicago taxi dispatch company for 2 years, I was a keyholding assistant store manager of Aladdin's Castle Arcade. I actually loved bagging groceries and pushing carts but that won't pay me enough to take care of myself. For the past year I've been tutoring basic math and physics whist I attend my local community college.

    Tutoring is my favorite job yet, but I want to finish school.

    END OF CHILDISH RESUME.

    I'm actually just looking for suggestions, any decent jobs that a somewhat smart girl [that secretly can communicate in proper English] with no special qualifications? Any more for my lifesnug that has been working as a server at the AWESOME Medieval Times for 2 years? Any cheap rent?

    ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!

    Thanks!!!:cool::prettyplease:

    Go for a server (waitress) somewhere. Ive done it on and off most of my life, just started doing it again. Usually an easy on the spot hire, dont need a ton of expierence, not a lot expected of you so you can focus on other stuff. Its cash daily which is a huge plus, at one point I was making over $70k a year waiting tables at your typical "family dining" resturant, so it can be good money too.
    I have found most paces wount put an ad out, so you have to go knocking on doors and hit the rite place at the rite time.

    Thanks for the suggestion. Serving is one of the few unskilled jobs that I'm not qualified for due to a birth defect rendering my arms un-rotatable.

    The bf is a good server though, so it's an option for him.

    I'm mainly looking for a lead on neighborhoods that have both jobs and reasonable cost of living.
