so i was at a 10 gauge a few days a go then switched to 8 gauge ...3 days went by and i switched to 6 gauge....it hurt a little and one of my ears was bleeding a little bit earlier, i normally dont switch so fast but i got the 8 and 6 gauges the same day and my patients got the best of me.....my question is, have i damaged my ear(s) for good? should i take them out and go back to 8 for a while? i just did it about 3 hours ago, i looked my ear over a couple times and didnt see any rips or anything on the outside, just some blood coming from the inside. so any help is great, thanks =)
yeah you really shouldn have switched so quickly you have to be patient with your ears!!!!!... i wish i could help, but i really dont know D: maybe just keep them how they are now for a while!!! keep them clean!! and its called stretching gauging would mean to cut your ear hope they heal ok for you!!>. wish i could help more.. but in future.. patience!!!!!!!
dude ive been stretching my ears for about 7 months, this is the first time i rushed it, and why would i come on here asking for advice if i wasnt going to use it?
yeah a whole 7 months, 16 to 8g, sound like ive rushed the whole 4 gauge sizes? or sorry "disrespected stretching" ?
You're supposed to wait AT LEAST 8 weeks between stretches, and even longer when you get to larger gauges. You don't want to end up with blow outs, do you?
When I was a teenager I gauged mine very quickly. I jammed plugs in them, heard and felt a loud pop, followed by lots of blood. I took them out years ago and they`re back down to about an 8 or 10. However they can stretch, but at least they look normal. Your ears will be fine.
Your ears aren't ruined but now that you have established some nice scar tissue in the fistula (flesh tube) it's always going to look puckered like a butthole and they will never completely close up if/when you remove your plugs (gauge is a term of measurement, not the actual jewelry btw ) Always wait at least a month in between sizes and never skip a size. It's tedious and it takes patience, but it will ensure you never get a blowout, in which case your ears would be ruined forever. Stretching isn't a contest. Take it easy and listen to your body. Good luck.
the biggest i plan on going is 6 or 4 but i was just wondering (if needed) if i could take them out and have "normal" ears again lol i heard that "the point of no return" is anything lower then 2g, but you never know.
really? even at such a low size? i mean i had 6g tapers in for like an hour and there was no blood, the blood showed up when i put the plugs that came with the tapers in, they have a little crease on the ends to hold the rings in place on the back, im wondering if my ear got scratched by that or something.
If you see blood, you've created a scar. The puckering won't be noticeable until you reach a size you can see through the unplugged piercing and it's not a huge deal - more aesthetic than anything. As long as you avoid the blowouts you'll be straight.
best thing to do at this point is to jump another few sizes while the wound is fresh. no sense wasting all that blood.
