I'm just wondering whether or not you guys are in favor of BSL.. If you don't know what that is it stands for Breed Specific Legislation. What they do is they ban breeds of dogs they deem dangerous (most commonly Pit bulls, rotties, dobies, German shepherds, mastiffs, great danes,ect) when they ban these breeds (for the most part) they will notify you that you need to get rid of your dog if you own one of the banned breeds, if you fail to do so they will take your dog from you and have it euthanized. In some areas if you already have a 'dangerous breed' they will let you keep it, but you can never get another dog of the same breed, you have to fix the animal, it needs to wear a muzzle anytime it's outside, and you need to have a kennel in your yard...
Ontario has a pitbull ban and has for a couple of years now. No, I don't support them either. Here if you already had a pitbull before the law came into effect, you were allowed to keep it but it had to be muzzled and on a leash at all times. For pits at shelters etc, they were shipped to other provinces or states if possible.
