Québec Rainbow Gathering summer 2010

Anyone going to the Rainbow Gathering in Outaouais, près de Maniwaki, au Lac Achigan??

I'd like to go, but I might need a ride. I'll be in the Gatineau area and would like to meet up.

 

When is this? I'll likely be in the area.

 

I would love to go to.I was wondering if there is a problem now with american brothers and sisters trying to make it over the border and being refused .Does anyone know about the procedure to legally go across these days.It seems like every where you these days it is a polce state.I'm in babaylon to long.I can't wait to get back home.

 

I've crossed the border from the States into Canada and back fairly often, and so my 411 should be ok. US citizens need a passport or (I'm told) a modified license that I think costs $30. Don't know the details about the ml. You will be questioned at the border (where are you going, how long do you plan to stay, where do you live, what is your occupation etc.) and will probably be asked if you are carrying drugs or weapons. You may be searched or given additional questioning.

I think they have to have a reason for refusing you at the border, like you don't have a passport or something. If they find something on you during a seach, they can bust you, but I'm not aware of anyone ever being turned away without cause


So I'm interested in a Quebec gathering too, when and where?

Its right outside Ottawa, not too far thats like 2-3 hours by train

 

There's a Quebec gathering every August I think. I have come close to going a couple times. I have a dream of a somewhat Casablanca themed coffee house, Scott's Cafe Americain, English Only Spoken Here, gambling & liquor behind the supply tent.
