I am just curious and wondered what most people on the boards do before replying to a post. Before replying to a thread do you, A. Always read every post B. Usually read every post C. Never read every post D. Tend to read posts by users that you recognize E. Other (if so, could you please explain)
B and D. I usually read every post but if I don't I will at least read the posts of my friends and people I recognize.
If it's a short thread, i'll read them all- depending on the length. If it's a long thread, I read the first few, then the last few, see where it's got too and then chime in I am not the best for reading everything I come across, wont lie!
i read the first and the last posts, if they are both the same topic, i'll prolly read the lot this don't happen a lot
I dont like to read really long OP... if its a revisited thread then dont need to read all the posts.. most time I scan things to fast and make errors when replying to quick..
Same here. But when I see a thread for the first time with multiple pages, I sometimes find myself reading it from the last post backwards. I don't know why.
Unless it's excessively long (over 25 pages) or full of very dull/random stuff, I read everything before posting. (Though so far that mostly applies to other forums)
If it's something that interests me, and the thread isn't already a hundred pages long I tend to read them all. Sometimes I don't even read the first post.
If it is 5 pages or under I will read it all. If it is a really long thread I tend to read the first few pages and then jump a handful of pages at a time and quickly scan for anything interesting jumping out. If there is I might then read the pages either side, ..then continue leap frogging along to the last few pages and the currrent tangent of the topic. Occassionally tho I have just sat for an hour or whatever and read a huge thread (typically a funny one) start to end.
