Hey, I havent been able to find any clothing made out of hemp... Do you have to be a certain age to buy it? Im 13 but Im into all this...
wow. It's expensive, for one. I track down some companies by using Google and enteringthe following: hemp AND clothing "Hemp clothing" Hemp AND shoes "Hemp shoes" the AND is boolian search that tells the search engine to find only pages with both terms. remember that word it will come back in algebra. the quotation marks " " keep the words together. this helps somewhat. companies to seek: ecolution, rawganique
I don't believe you have to be a certain age to buy it, but if you order online you just have to use a credit card (most of the time). I'm a young'un like you so I just ask a parent to borrow one of their cards. It is expensive, though.
hemp jeans were popular a few years ago. everyone had a pair. thing with them was though that the colour faded real quick and they ended up looking a bit crappy...
ecolution rocks.... that's where I get a lot of my stuff. You can also find some good stuff on ebay every now and then. I had a hard time finding just what I wanted, though, so I've started just ordering hemp fabric and sewing up my own duds... for simple things, at least, like pants and skirts and a couple shirts. It can get pretty expensive, but it lasts forever.
www.hemptraders.com sells some hemp clothing on their website...from what I can tell, it's pretty plain--you'd have to embellish/dye it yourself, but their prices are excellent. Although I can't vouch for the quality of the clothing (I make my own clothes), I CAN tell you that they sell awesome fabric, and that their clothes are made from that fabric. So, even if the construction is shoddy (which it probably isn't), the fabric will last for a long, long time. If you DO make your own clothes, you should get some of their hemp/tencel twill. I'm making my husband a pair of pants out of it, and it's one of the softest, strongest, pants-type materials I have ever seen. I'm going to make us sheets out of the lighter-weight version (they have 4 oz. and 9 oz.) sometime soon.
Try Mountains of the Moon - they have a large selection of hemp clothes http://fullmoonfamily.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=MOTM&Category_Code=HempClothing
