hello... i feel that my first post needs to be in here. It just seemed like the right thing. i first found the hip forums when I was 16 and i recently got the urge to become a part of the most awesome internet community for the second time in my life. I have tried other forums but hip has me running home yet again. i love this place and you guys are awesome!
i dont know how anyone could enjoy an oven as a hometown. I am so ready for fall...too bad we dont get much of one.
When I was a kid, the heat didn't bother me in the least. Now, I dread August. Been in Dallas since '63, so I'm as used to it as is possible, which means of course it's too damn hot! Love Spring and Fall here. My brother lives in Albuquerque. He said it almost got up to 90 the other day.
i was born and raised in the dallas metroplex. My father lives in Northern Minnesota and he told me he had to turn his air conditioner on today. Believe it or not, thats not normal for him lol :nopity:
I'm posting this from the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. It was the typical mid-summer heat, but with moderate humidity. However, the stations here are saying upper 90s from Monday to Friday and around 100 for Raleigh on Thursday. Moving on to Connecticut, a.k.a. my home state...Bradley International Airport reached 102 degrees on July 6th. It hadn't been 100 or higher in our little state in roughly 4 years.
Hey Starbuck, tell us a little more about yourself. I see you are "Gas Pipe Corporate" ... accountant, management? Must be interesting working for Gas Pipe here in the middle of the bible belt. You try the K2 yet? I'm thinking that smoking incense probably not a good idea.
yeah I'm an office assitant. I used to work in the store off of Skillman and 635. I got promoted lol. I love my job too. well get the K2 while you can because its not going to be in this area for long. I personally do not like the crap, but hell if i couldnt have the real thing...i would probably really enjoy it.
LOL, I've been a customer at that store. Might have met you! Congrats on your promotion. Loving your job is a good thing. I'm a freelance graphic designer. Some days I love it, others ... well not so much. You ever hang out at White Rock? Love the Lakewood area.
yeah i have been to the lakewood area. i like it, but dallas gets old really quick. Its not my favorite city.
