I did not bring into this discussion my post totals- you did. Edit: It makes no difference anyway... I'm out of my league here not only as far as willingness to trade in the intellectual banter but also in the inclination to thoroughly research my views which are when all is said and done are just opinions... based on slanted sources. Whether or not I can find any factual basis I cannot guarantee whether or not sources are unimpeachable. There is a kind of visceral reaction I'm experiencing debating with you based on the premise that your positions will predispose you toward dealing with opinions such as mine with hostility and provocation. While you've done little to dispel this prejudice of mine I must accept that I've had a hand in provoking you as well. I entered into this topic not as a moderator but as a user and having an internal compass that compels me to tie my own hands when I share in the culpability for a situation going awry I must accept that the best thing I can do is subtract that user from this discussion. My job is to help protect the forums for a wide range of opinions- and while I may find some to be objectionable I am no less responsible to safeguard this forum as a place for them as much as for the ones I agree with. The user (me) that entered into this discussion could go on and on continuing on the current path toward helping destroy this topic or I invoke the moderator status and regard my participation here the same manner I would if my posts were from any other user. My apologies, Jack- for my part in this. We are not going to agree very often and this was clear to me from the get-go- I've also noted that you are far better read than myself. Without going into specifics I can for the sake of ending my own part in the negativity just accept that until I have both the time AND inclination to read up, cross check my sources, take in how different ends of the spectrum spin another sides position on issues and then decide what I believe best approximates the truth. Until then I must channel what spare time and energy I have to keeping the open discussions peaceful and flowing... NOT creating or worsening an inhospitable environment for others to sound off. I bid you peace Jack... and will welcome an exchange via PM... and perhaps get your spin on what I see (or THINK I see) in the government in a constructive manner but bickering with you here is not conducive to an open, constructive banter for anyone because of my preconceived notions and gut-reaction prejudices toward you I'm unable to offer the open mind for replying to other ideas that people here, including you, deserve... as does the forum moderator.
really, the main freedom that seems to have been lost seems to be the freedom to say fuck you to one's less fortunate fellow americans thanks for the food stamps, stinkfoot!
Stinkfoot-> .. Now thats the way to end a debate that is goin around in circles not in anger or fustration- -but in understanding that there will be differences, and if we need to be open minded enough, to give and take a little- -maybe we can move forword a bit easier with respect JJack :hat:
I know how you, the introducer of this topic, voted. Obama does well for the environment. Now we've got to believe in the Copenhagen climate Conference of last December, which I saw full of ambitious ideas for the national concerns of protecting first of all the resources industry. Not enough was done about the real plan of social motivating for national energy programs of the local and grid participation for solar and wind processes energy. Heck, they've even claimed to have architectural structures with tanks of heating water on top of the buildings in the Summer. What the heck is the concern of protecting multi-national corp.'ns is fine with me, but the environment fails the grade for many profit motivations easily the Carbon Recapture thing. Well'p I don't understand that one. Forest fires are doing carbon recapture these days in B.C., Canada.
Some animals are going to die and fool's will have something to distract them from the farsacle Clinton round three health care sham the first black President lied his way into office with. I remember as a kid hearing this same propagandic carrot on a stick from what was then also called first black President Bill Clinton, show some more news covergae on the oil spill hell even blame Obama for it in some misguided psychological vent but just let the Healthcare slide, and next term it will be the number 1 priorty, we promise... Shame on you all.
The health care sham I hear is based on the big lie that CNN perpetrated that It had something much to do with ambition for the medical profession in Holistic medicine. Propaganda minister. Take care.
