Prison guards are paid poorly and endure serious trauma as a result from deadly violence from inmates. If for one second we could all imagine that prison guards as a career could be changed by the government. Military soldiers should be guarding jails, if people choose to take the path to prison why not design the prison to have less guard contact with inmates. We should be making people who choose a military career must guard prisons as part of training possibly a 1 year requirement to enforce a tougher force in prison. Without this tough force against inmates we lack in showing inmates how to be positive to guards, inmates see the vulnerability in guards. In the future this could change but until then violent outbursts may prove that guards endure trauma. Guards are paid on average $45000 per year, is that worth risking your life?
Military trained guards, guards trained to actually kill. Yea that's just what the American prison system needs.
Actually, there was a perfect prison system designed in a movie called "Wedlock." http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1800162273/info .
Hey i was in a jail here in the UK so meybe its a bit differant over here but i can tell you something the screws can give just as much as they take, alot of people i met in the jail where the nicest guys i've ever met, the more experieinced prisoners really looked after me and i'll never forget them. Alot of the screw are nasty bastards and do their best to wind prisoners up they treat you like a peice of scum, they fucking deserve it sometimes not that im condoning violance, i seen some nasty shit in there too but all im say is that theres two sides to every coin.
Another thing prisoners are human beings just the same as the rest of us, how about if you got the jail for protesting or something meybe your tune will change then, you cant talk about people like there vermin its just nasty if you ask me.
The prison guards in California make very good money. I worked on many a roof of guards from Corcoran prison (where Charlie boy is) and one lady told me she made 32 bucks an hour with overtime and could work as much overtime as she wanted. The union is very strong there.
