Often when I see a movie or a tv show or sometimes even on the news... and someone is about to go to jail or experience something unpleasant someone wil say something along the lines of: "that person has a family they shouldn't go to jail" or "have mercy on that person he has a family". It seems the fact that someone has a family is invoked as a reason for that person not being put through something unpleasant. This makes me feel as though people without families and people without children are discriminated against on a cultural level. I dont like seeing bad things happen to people but it just strikes me as unfair that having children is invoked in the way that I described.
To My Knowledge That Doesn't Happen Here, It Implys To Me, That Married Peeps Are More Stable Than Single Peeps.... Excuse Me, Whilst I Have A Moment Of Mirth..... Cheers Glen.
I've noticed a lot of public events are now being advertised as family friendly or suitable for all the family. I generally take this as a warning to stay the hell away from them.
I've thought of this before as well. It seems that people who don't have families are somewhat taken into less consideration in these matters. This is most likely because both chruch and state want people to have families. To have a family is doing your religious duty. Having a family also ensures that the government has plenty of sheep and worker bees to do its work for it. People with families are favoured in many aspects.
And yet technically if you had a wife, or kids, or both you'd be putting more people's lives at risk with your driving. Ironic.
