My dad just took me to buy an electric guitar as my Christmas present! We got a really nice Yamaha Pacifica with two single coils and a humbucker; I even liked it better than the Squire Strat I tryed.

After several years of sticking to acoustic, I'm really looking forward to rocking out with my new guitar on Christmas day!

I like it man, Whats your main style (bad question but) that you play? just curious because i have a yamaha pacifica tele copy and the neck plays better than my gibsons and even my real fenders. I remember my first electric man they rock still got her.

Ps after years of acoustic you will find electric a breeze

let me know how she plays

    Love and Peace

Some people prefer Gibsons, some Fenders... honestly, I used to love Fenders... that was back when I had a '57 Reissue... it was daphne blue... Buddy Hollyesque. I have a new fender and I have to say, I can't stand it. I mean, it gets some nice sounds that Gibsons can't get, but I really can't stand new Fenders. I can't stand Gibsons much either... not until they get really broken in. I can't play perfect guitars. I like having some strange problems with guitars... so I rewound my 498T in a les paul and didn't re-pot it. That's just me...

Pacifica's are definatley the best Guitar for it's price range. You can get a really nice sound out of it and the intonation is really good and it plays like a bitch. But as 'Orsino2' says lots of people prefer Gibson's, Fender's etc.

Did you get the 112 or the 012. Basically the difference is quality, the 112 is like a million times better in every way.

Also did you get the dark wood fretboard (white scratch plate) or the light wood fretboard (black scratch plate). I love my Pacifica (112 with natural wood effect and light wood):).

    Blessings

I prefer Rosewood fretboards... but I sometimes wonder if the Yamahas are rosewood.

your life just got better!!! i love acoustic guitar, but i really love whaling on my electric. never stop playing, music is good for your soul. my first electric was a 69 fender mustang. my main ax now is early 70s gibson sg with mini humbuckers. i just gave my fender strat to my son, so that he might discover his musical talants. keep rockin kid, but don't let the acoustic collect dust, ~peace~

pacificas are amazing guitars, considering what you pay for them. I'd definitely recommend them .I played one w/o it bein gplugged in, and it felt good, and i've been to shows where pacificas were being played, and they sounded good.

Pacificas are way better than Fender's squiers for the money.
