it is one of my favorites. my old copy finally fell apart, had to find a new one. my favorite book of his is Bachman Books; Rage,and The Long Walk are my favorite stories from that one.
I literally just finished The Long Walk, it was awesome. And I'm currently reading his newest, Under The Dome. It's about the same length as The Stand and vaguely similar, but it's amazing. Probably gonna rank in the top 3, I highly recommend it.

The copy Im reading is from the library. It came out in november of 09 so it's not that new. You gotta read it.
i think i will. ill have my hubby order it from the library. more people should support the library, because books take up a lot of space, and are difficult to move, and expensive. libraries are so much more efficient. try it before you buy it in essence. i am anticipating a book i know i'll buy right out, i dont have time to wait for the library to get it. hell, i might preorder it. Jean Auel's 6th Earth's Children novel, The Land of Painted Caves will be out so soon i can taste it, and its months away! Reading is cool! But we digress, lets ponder more the questions of fire! i like fire a lot.
The stand was awesome However, since I cannot read, I have to hope to god he makes Under the Dome into a miniseries. My mom is reading it right now and I am jealous.
