this is probly frequently asked and im probly gonna get flamed but i cant find anything, anyway, i dnt knw what to do with my roots as they grow. will it dread itself? my hairs normaly really straight and soft. thnx guys
4 year dreads and i still got plenty of loose hairs at my roots its gonna happen eventually it will dread but the only way your gonna fix it is using a crochet hook to intertwine the loose hair with the lock. I wouldnt try it personally makes it look like you kinda braided a piece of hair into a dread and the texture isnt too cool to me.
Yeah, don't worry about it, it will dread right in. Might have an inch or 2 loose hair before the dread, but that's normal.
another point to make is that you need a good amount of root length in order to create locks. tight roots are painful too. the longer the hair the easier it locks.
i dont think he means loose hairs man, just undreaded root. for non-loose undreaded root hairs just wait, they will lock. although it does seem impossible as the hairs are connected at both ends, trust. it just does.
Lol he said what can he do to his roots as they grow meaning there will be loose hairs its common sense but I also said it will dread eventually
