Ok my friend has a 60mg metahdone waffer for 25 $ and ive never taken methadone. On the other hand I have a slight opiate tollerence and take 40mg+ of oxy and 60+mg of hydrocodone. What would be a safe dosage that will get me nice and fucked up? Also what is the high like?
Been on a methadone program since 1986- - Stayed of off Heroin since 1991 (cuople of yrs when I tried to do both- -its a waste unless your on like 20-30 mgs) Been on 120 mgs since 1991- its all OK again in my life without hustling for that dope everyday
I've only taken methadone twice. Once at 10mg with a shitload of liquor, but that didn't turn out very well:tongue: And once at 50mg......that was nice I didn't have any opiate tolerance at the time, so I'm guessing you should just take the whole 60mg. It would be best to start with 1/2 or 3/4 of the wafer though, just to be safe, and take the rest later if you decide you want/need to. The effects last long enough that you can afford to start low and up your dosage during the same high.
just got off program after 6 1/2 yrs. best thing i've done. it's been 2 months now. i don't even crave op's. i was fuzzy the first month , now i feel normal. I was on 185mg and just stopped going. not for everyone. I was saved by methedone for sure. but i feel better about myself.
wow..185mg? but to answer the op: try like 20mg...it takes a few hours to come on all the way, so be careful about redosing.
Most old timers on MM are on doses of 120 and up to about 200 - ( at least here in NYC) Its not a recreational thing- -I wouldnt recommend just drinking a bottle to get high, If you dont have a decent tolerance for opiates -you'll probably get sick . But to each his own- be careful out there jjack the diskettes -or wafers as you call them, come in 40 mg increments. To get 60mg they would give you 1 wafer and snap 1 in 1/2 -to make 60. Lilly used to be the only company that made them- they were orange diskettes- they are still around- - but - - now they are mostly made by melincroft and the,re white wafers
For me methadone is alot harder on the body with a less euphoric influence, I'd say probably 20 mg would be a good dose to start in light of your other intake of opiates.
True> thats why they started treating heroin addicts with mdone back in the day- -less euphoric, much longer lasting, and very cheap to manufactor by the pharma companies. Back in the day ,it was anywhere from FREE- to 20 bucks a week to get on mdone. Now medicaid pays the whole ride. If you are working and are a cash client -it varies- ny/nj is 55 a week (no matter what dose your on)
When I was addicted to chasing 10mg fentanyl daily for a few months, 15mg methadone took away 90% of my withdrawls and 30mg have me so high I was throwing up like my first time.
mindbender62 How were you able to stop from 185mgs to nothing? Did you taper off and what else did you use to help with the anxiety and withdrawals and side-effects etc. In NC methadone treatment cost $360 a month or $12 a day. all the places that I know of here in NC around 12 places NONE of them take any insurance or Medicaid or medicare which sucks bug time. $12 dollars no matter what dose that you are on. thank GOd I found a great Pain clinic for my pain instead of having to pay these clinics thousands of dollars a year.
Often times they do not take insurance of medicaid JUST so they can make more money not all of the time, but sometimes. kind of messed up.
