lighter colored hash and dark colored hash? obviously aside from color, whats the diff? what makes it lighter? what makes it darker? is one more potent?
A lot of hash is just pressed kief, other hash is more resiny since it was extracted from some form of weed.
Blonde hash could just be pressed keif. I've always heard the more the hash is pressed the darker it gets. I don't know for sure but it kind of makes sense because pure hash oil is very dark and by pressing the hash your concentrating the oil more.
really good hash can be both light or dark. depending on how it's made, dark hash could contain more plant material and therefore not be as potent. lighter hash could be stronger, but it all depends... look at the consistency and texture. is it soft and moldable? is it TOO soft? is there a noticable aroma? another good indicator is to make a little pancake of hash and put the flame of a lighter near it. Not on it, just over it. the faster it sizzles/bubbles, the better it is. if it takes a long time to sizzle, it's not as good. even hash that's hard, or 'harder' can be OK. the smoke and high should let you know how it is. although, usually you're looking for a decently soft, maleable hash. it should smell like heaven, not dirty.
Blonde hash is just pressed keif as other have said. Black hash is pressed just like blonde hash only it's made different, you use water and "schwagg bags" to make it from the plant material that's put on ice.
The main difference between the two is the varying degrees of plant matter between them. So theoretically the lighter the better, although there are many other factors that play a role in the final appearance such as the solvents employed and of course the manufacturing method. Just have a look on the web for the best hash, you'll find honey oil or budder, and blonde ice hash as the favorites among most.
