I dont think I knew what dreads were until I was 13 or so and got into KoRn haha..oh how my musical taste has changed....
I dug the shit out of dreads then, I wanted some so bad...

I think the awesomeness was deeply planted in the depths of my subconsciousness very early and i've wanted em for aslong as i can remember, but i remember this one music video really brought it out when i was like 9 or some shit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXnT5NnHYEQ"]YouTube- Bomfunk mc's rofl

nostalgic shit...he has chill ass dreads tho.

fricken weird to think back at those times...i was 9... already wearin baggy pants half way down my ass, trying to pull some break moves, listening to my cypress hill cd, tryin to ride some oldschool skateboard and crying every time my mom left to work in the city again.

edit: uh i cant resist..noticed the related tab...

i remember my older brother's friend had dreadies. and i loved him.
didnt think i would have dreadies tho until i was older and in college.
then i fell in love with dreads. had my first set. let them get smelly and too thick.
lived in a smoker's house that was moldy and gross. chopped them.
    now i love my locks!
my little cousins know my locks. they like them. except for my girl cousins who are grossed out by them. they love to wash their hair everyday and straighten it. and look perfect in everyway. i try to keep them real but yeah.... being 15 and 16 its hard to be real. they just wanna imitate tv. ahhh, someday tho, im hoping they get it.
