yeah i don't agree with either of the op statements of men being less or women being more promiscuous. what evidence are you basing those huge generalisations on?

i think people are just more openly sexual now. id say if men are sleeping around less now it's probably just cos it was easier to get away with it 60yrs ago when everything was always the woman's fault.

Amazingly enough, women like sex just as much as men...

I don't believe that at all to be honest. I think that's a faulty perception of women. Let me put it differently I guess...

Once in a relationship you may be absolutely correct, although I've heard from numerous people the sex declines after like marriage and children but I don't know much about that. And some girls like to get drunk and whatever...

But as a guy I've had female friends I've been turned down by to hook up with and theyll cuddle with me and stuff like that but just won't go the distance. It doesn't seem to always be that flat out pleasureable thing for a woman as it is for guys or at least me. Like it makes more sense in my head to experience it with someone I get along with and know then just randomly meet at a bar even if its just hooking up, but some women don't view it as that simple.

There just seems often a need to be in the right mood for a woman as where I don't really get that feeling.

I think it all depends on the person. I have noticed with guys, or at least a lot of the guys I know that being horny and sex can come above everything else. Like if they are tired, sick, whatever and have the oppertunity to have sex infront of them they can forget about everything else. For me and I think for most girls its not like that.

A lot of women dont over complicate it either. If we are in the mood to have sex we'll do it, weather its a one night stand or whatever.

To the OP I dont think women are becoming more promiscuous, they are just being more open about it. There is still quite a few women out there that arnt, you just hearing about it more from the ones who are.

 

Having an enormous libido also doesn't equal promiscuity... you can have sex with one person over and over, it doesn't have to be a different person every time. And each time can be different, and special and exciting.

And if you feel a certain way about that person, it can be endlessly satisfying... obviously I haven't lived my entire life through so I can't be completely sure that this won't change... but I'm pretty sure.

Hooking up in a bar means there's an easy out when it's over. Some people go to bars/clubs to have 'fun' and 'dance', but I'd say 60 percent are there because they're interested in no-strings sex... it's easy to wake up in the morning and bail, or even just cum and then immediately get the fuck out of there... actually, it's pretty much expected, so it's no big deal. They can forget all about it in a week.

Hooking up with a friend means things will get complicated... I don't think it's even because they 'value the friendship'-- that's what they tell themselves in order to feel better about who they are... but really, after they've opened up to a certain degree to you, it means you know too much and you've gotten too close emotionally, which changes the nature of the sex.

And then even worse, they know you'll probably be expecting it again and again-- so getting out of it is going to be a slow and agonizing process, because they already 'owe' you that as a 'friend'... so it's guaranteed to be fucking annoying for them for probably a month or more.

Sex outside of reproduction, or, I suppose 'communication', is basically a drug or common leisure activity with no real inherent value... sort of like an episode of Lost or an MP3 of a song you really like... so if you want to be casual about it, it actually helps if you don't see the person you're fucking as a real human being.

The difference between genders where promiscuity is concerned was much noticeable back then, being the males the more promiscuous, so, now that women are catching up, people say now they're worse than men.

That's just bullshit, imo. Genders are simply becoming more even. And being 100% pro-equality, that's a good thing in my pov.

 

Top 2%, yeah what you described there might be the 80-90% range, 90-95% that plus a boy toy on the side, 98-100% booking in extra clients even though she doesnt need the money or lining up outside the hotel rooms of NBL players
