I fear it. Mostly during the day for some peculiar reason. I live on a block with another 20 townhouses and all day there's cars and trucks and whatever going up and down the driveway. Every time I'm stoned I panic at the sounds of cars. "is someone pulling up? Shit who's that?" The main house robbing scam at the moment is people buying a van, rocking up at someones door as a removalist and when there's no answer they rob the joint and no one suspects a thing until the owners come home to a nasty surprise. Albeit I think this is a good idea if I was a criminal, I hate the idea that people might do this to me. So I've decked out the whole house with an arsenal of miscellaneous weapons. Two knives and two swords in the main room where the front door is. Axes, hatchets, more swords, compound bow, .22 rifle, hunting knives, golf clubs, hockey stick, baseball bats are somewhere within arm reach in all of our rooms. I've even planned for a hallway run in with my grandfathers bayonet tucked away in a closet for close hand to hand combat. I don't think my broadswords will be an effective weapon in hallway fighting.

No, I meant more! If they think the house is burning down, they won't risk breaking in =P

But back in serious world; smoking lots could be helping your paranoia.

the best weapon is an explosive.. For your intruder to mistakenly turn on and detonate ..
its best they are in a lamp, or something of value looking.. (you may even tell them thats where the money is hidden, It may not need to be a giant explosive, making a rig with flash powders are enough to stun and send them away, where they can be ambushed later/ getting medical assistance for some burn..

you must be careful not to set them off yourself..

A kid at johns hopkins college came home to find his house broken into, later that day the robber came back but the kid was ready. He had his katana and even tho he didnt have any training with it, when he cornered the burglar he hacked once and stabbed once, cutting the thief's wrist and giving him a stab wound to the chest - killing the thief.

I also worry about being broken into, usually late nites or when i am away from home. I have had a couple break ins over the years, once they made off with a fat QP. Another time I was here at the house when some guy came in the kitchen window. I came in and without thinking, grabbed the dude and started going thru his pockets as I forced him out the back door. I tossed him down the back steps pretty hard, and when he took off running I took off after him! I was barefoot and he easily outran me thru the woods, and later i wondered wtf I was gonna do if I caught him! hahaha

So yeah, now I have my house decked out about the same - baseball bats and weapons stashed for handy access!

I dont want to use explosives in my house cause I might damage my ps3 or tv or something. Cool about the ninja sword story. I have two myself but they're at my folks house. =p

I have a crowbar in the kitchen. Plus my dogs can be pretty bad ass when they feel like it.

My friend Al once caught this guy trying to break in his home..
Al is a millionaire crackhead.. Yes he had a million dollars. he has maybe about 1/2 that now, his family won the lotto.. Al is a cool dude, smokes crack eats pills. Al caught the guy but he didnt run away. Al invited him in cause he thought the guy was another crackhead and he was.. Al was cool with him so he tells the story..Al began to smoke crack with the guy and more crack intill the guy got paranoid. Al is a big guy old school , he aint worried bout this dude. But Al tells me this guy gets creeped out so bad and was hearing thinks, the guy though Al was really going to do something to him.. But Al was actully giving the dude property.. Al has so much junk he was trying to pawn shit off on the crackhead.. but Al got the crackhead so high that he left and never was seen again.. That story makes me LOL he tells it sometimes fishing. I havent been fishing with Al in a while but someone said he was recently at a spot I know with other ppl I know.

This is probably either caused by where you live, or it could be a result of living in the city. I live in the city and I tend to get slightly paranoid when I smoke and I know there's people skulking about.

When I was younger I used to be insanely paranoid about this.

One time I was home alone, so I invited my friend over so we could watch 1408. Once it got pretty late we turned off all the lights in the house and turned on the movie. It was a little bit scary, more for her because I've seen so many damn scary movies that I'm pretty much immune. Anyhow, once it was over I turned on the living room light, looked into the kitchen, and the back door was slightly open. I pretty much flipped shit and ran over to close it...we were terrified. We called my uncle, who lives next door, but they were out of town. So then we went to my neighbor's house, but nobody answered. So we went to ANOTHER neighbor's house (it was around one in the morning) woke them up and told them of our plight. They came and searched the house with us. There was nobody there; turns out my dog had pushed the back door open because I hadn't closed it all the way.

    I felt pretty stupid.

I used to worry about the ghetto looking dudes breaking in when I first moved to my apartment because a few people that have been here for years told me they saw them busting someones door in, but then I just started buying my weed from him and now were are chill with each other, lol.
