with no cash (bus fare, cab fare, otherwise), no car, no bike, nothing. don't even have my cell phone. do i hitch a ride? or do i ask a friend who just may be waking around? what would you do in a situation like this?

I just squish into a ute with 3 other people already in it and since this is illegal i have to squish right down to hide from cops ect. and get knocked around coz the driver is psycho and racing some other car on the freeway and then go over bumpy roads coz were going to a house in the middle of nowhere and theres a massive pot hole in one of the roads and get out of the car with numb legs and a sore arm only to find out all the pubs are closed coz its late so theres no chance of a drink....
did I mension that I am quite tall and the ute was not that big?...hmmmm

Well if you have someone to call...you could always use a pay phone...I'm sure someone will lend you a couple quarters or if you're calling a really nice person you could always call collect...if not I would hitchhike...not the smartest thing to do but you'd *probably* make it home. hehe :D

miami cabs are disgusting. ummmmmmmm in your situation what i would do is either get on a bus and tell them your a student ( i dont think yo uhave to pay a fare if you are) if all else fails tell the driver that you got robbed or pitpocketed and you need to get home. or i would walk

    well, things worked out...

alot of my friends are a little uptight (personally, i would never mid giving a friend a ride), so i'm still gonna have to walk. but my friend was kind enough to spot me a 1/2 eighth of greenery for a blunt for the walk home. very nice of him... now only if i can scrape up enough change for a blunt. :/

If you had more notice you might have wanted to try the find a ride forum.

Sorry if I don't seem so overly eager, but lots of times if you're in a college there is someone who has a car. There are also public transportation vehicles.

If cash is an issue then I might suggest you start saving coins in a pickle jar, opening up a savings account that has an ATM or borrowing chump change from a friend.

I got stuck twice-1nce in Norwalk another at the Brea mall. Both times I was lucky 2 get rides. It was late, so the busses weren't running & I had no money 4 a cab. Glad u worked something out:)

I missed the last bus and got stuck in Santa cRuz about a week ago so I went back to the hollow tree I got busted in a cpl weeks before, banking on the probability that the cop that got me would have been too lazy to go back and get all the stuff I had stashed in the tree.

Sure enough my sleeping bags and blankets were still there along with a little bud I couldn't find when I split. So it actually turned out to be a pretty comfy night.

you could ask for change untill you get enough for bus fare, also someone mentioned the cop thing and i wanted to add that cops are legally obligated to give you a ride within town lines. thats how i usto get home from shows when i was broke. either way, best of luck.
