Paste anything that you have written onto this website, and it shall tell you who exactly you write like. I must warn you that this site is addictive.

    Enjoy...

    http://iwl.me/

After that web site analysed different emails of mine I have been told that I write like Vladimir Nabokov once, David Forster Wallace once, H.P. Lovecroft once, James Joyce twice, kurt vonnegut jr twice, and Cory Doctorow three times.

Upon checking the emails of my 61 year old art teacher, I was rather jealous to find out that he writes like PG Wodehouse twice, and like Earnest Hemingway once, and like David Forster once.

Then the web sites had assessed an email of my counsler, that I had emailed, as being texts that resemble that of Ernest Hemingway.

According to a short story that I wrote when I used to enjoy to read the novel by Charles Dickens, I write like William Shakespeare.

    mary shelly. this time.

i went to this website several weeks ago. back then it said i write like h.p. lovecraft.

i had my english instructor back in 7 th. grade, tell me i write like lovecraft.
i've had several other english instructors through, high school and college tell me the lovecraft bit too... that's no surprise there.

mary shelly is a new one on me.

i guess that just means, i'm way, way, too much into horror and sci-fi.

According to another short story that I have had the web site analyse, I write like Margarette Mitchel, who is the author of "Gone with the Wind." Then, I submitted an older email of mine, where it said that I write like Agatha Christie. How creepy!

After analysing my different blog entries, the site claimed that I write like Mario Puzo (the author of the Godfather), Arthur C. Clacke (the author of Space Odyssey), Jonathan Swift, George Orwell, and Jack London. That is interesting.

That author wrote Fight Club. To be compared to him is a compliment.

According to the web site, that post was like a text by Vladimir Nabokov, lol.

The first time I did this I was told I write like Vladimir Nabokov

The second time I was told I write like Isaac Asimov

    Both are Russian novelists

Maybe I have a Russian soul :sifone:

Well, i would only be happy with the result that my writing is the style of some serial killer...

Having said that, I doubt this website can relate the style of anyone's writing to anyone else's either in grammar, or content.

H.P Lovecraft is a phenomenal writer

    Yep

But I can see how Lovecraft and Mary Shelley would go together

Aliens in the Mountains of Madness in the Arctic, and giant undead monsters who roam the arctic. Awesome

i've read a number of his books, it's just that my natural writing style is similar to his and when somebody told me so, i started reading his books.

now i try not to sound like him when i write so as not to seem like i'm jacking his writing style
