Happy Mother's Day Angel! The cookies were delicious and just the thing for a spontaneous roadtrip! I hope your day was wonderful!
Hello everyone! Good idea to start up this impromptu kitchen table, Eryn; I've really missed you guys! If ya don't mind I'll take a seat at the table I've brought some beach towels to spread across the seats so we can all avoid those nasty butt splinters Angel-Love the picture of you and the kitties! Funny thing is my first and favorite cat was named Ringo! He was gray with darker gray "stripes" and white feet. He was such a character. When I'd cry he'd come up to me and bite my nose *lol* When he was around 16 years old he went out one summer day for one of his usual prowls and never came home. I was devastated. That was about 4 years ago and I still miss him....guess I always will. Anyway, I hope all you mamas had a fabulous Mother's Day!
Hi, all! I had a great mother's day, my son came over and brought my #1 grandson to visit. I made cookies (of course) and I made one of them gigantic. Guess which one he chose? Yesterday was not as good, I had to go to the hospital because my blood pressure meds failed me and I started filling up with fluid. I got a diruetic though, and today I am peeing my brains out and the swelling is going down. I'm so glad to see you all and also to hear that the cookies arrived all right. I miss you guys so much, but this feels better.
Ooh, I hope you are feeling better Angel! *good vibes coming your way* *plops down at the table looking over the healthy foods and whips out an econo size bag of KC Masterpiece Barbecue Lays Potato Chips*
i ran out of my bp meds on friday, and don't have the money this week to get them. major finance snafu this month. i tried getting some from the doc, a sample pack or something, but they don't have it. so i'm not allowed to do ANYTHING. my sister-in-law came over and washed my dishes and picked up the living room. it was nice, but this one act of kindness roughly translates into 25 hours of babysitting for marcie. technically i'm supposed to be on my left side, but i can't take it anymore.
well, they're generic, about $35. but we just have no cash at all. it's not quite normal for us, and dave's feeling all shitty about it. i can get some on friday. my husband's ex-wife is digging up a few bucks for me until then, and bringing over some mac& cheese & ramen. she gets them free from her mom's grocery co-op.
I've got $15 extra bucks I could send yah, if you wanted, but I'm not sure it would make it there fast enough.
Yes, I am much better than yesterday. It just sucks that I now have to take four different BP meds and two for pain. KC, what does your Dr have you on? I take Norvasc, Zestril, Propanalol, and now Lasix. All at different times, of course.
ah, thanks anyway stella, that's really sweet. angel, i'm only on zestril now. i was on propranalol for a while, as well as amitriptyline for migraines. the 20 mg seems to keep me very well in line, with only a few inexplicable spikes that they've yet to figure out.
me too... now that I've found stuff I really like about the new set up, I can honestly say I love it again...
