Ok...I have decided upon getting dreads...Now I am kinda stuck on what method to use. I want nice, neat looking dreads, but I don't want them all fake and junk either. I haven't washed/brushed my hair in a week and it's already starting to clump together, but it's looking kinda messy. Also, my hair is straight as a board but frizzy as crap. I want nice looking hair, but I don't want it to be unnatural. Should I backcomb? Leave it alone and wash it once a week? What should I do??

Personally i would go natural, just wash your hair when it gets dirty/greasy.

www.knottylocks.tk has lots of info. ;)

my room mates brother just let his hair do it's own thing and at first it was making one giant "nest" (as he called it) in the back of his head. but since then he's worked it out. his parts aren't straight, which doesn't bother him, but sum dreads are bigger than others. it's noticable, but it doesn't look bad, but it annoys him. he told me when i do mine to be more "professional" about it. just sum advice! hope it works out for you. can't wait for my hair to grow a lil bit more to start mine!
