bad things are an observation of the viewer, what does that have to do with G-d?..

Regardless of whether you believe in god or not, it is important to have faith in something.

maybe you should rethink your concept of god. if you are stuck on the "dude in the sky that manipulates things on earth" then i could see how you would stop believing. don't give up yet. just rethink what "god" is perhaps....

Believing in god can be a matter of having faith but having faith in something does not requires believing in god.

I guess it all depends on the god you believe in.
God doesn't have to be that dude up in the sky that keeps everything hunky dory.
It's just about having faith, in something.

Because the alternative doesn't lead people to very good places.

I try to have faith in people.

Eh I see it like this, if I ask you what colour the bean in my pocket is and you say "purple" or whatever and I don't have a bean you made that bean real and gave it a characteristic in your own mind. So therefor you created it.

But if I did have one and you said there isn't one then it would be the same concept.

You don't know if there's a dead cat in a box if you don't know there's a cat in the box :p

Because if you don't have faith that the guy coming at you in a vehicle on a road while you are driving toward him on the same road, will stay in his own lane, you would not be able to drive.

I think it is good that you don't believe in a god, because I do not think that it's good to live in denial.

I sure do hope though, that you are able to appreciate your life.

faith is a "complete confidence" wether it's to a god, another person or an innanimate object... i have a level of trust that the driver opposite will adhere to the rules of the road, that their vehicle is in good working order and that they'll act with courtesy and safety with other drivers... but faith, no. I always presume that other drivers will do something totally unexpected at any moment. i've been driving too long and seen too many crazy things on the road to act otherwise

    how so?

i suppose plenty would see that as admirable. i prefer to treat people as free-thinking individuals and not expect them to act in a preconcieved manner

    because they usually don't :)

Another god thread, sigh. Let's cut through the main stream manipulation that fills bullshit in your minds. Has anyone noticed the constant mockery of god in basically all mediums today? Moives, kids shows, documentaries, and even in ...well you get the point. everything.

There is a reason for that.

It's doing a good job of getting everybody off the wagon and on to the corporate conglomerates; reliance on the system.

    peace

Religion is reliance on another type of system...
