I am wondering about nudists who may be from social minorities, especially those from the United States, England, and Western Europe?
The question 'are nudists mainly white' has been raised in the UK. My experience is that in cities with a significant ethnic minority population there are often black or asian nudists.
Must admit haven't seen any blacks at nudist resorts or beaches in Oz, but then again i really haven't been looking?
I believe many minorities try to keep their nudity to themselves. I know many that walks around their house nude and some of them don't wear underwear. I was talking to one my friend last night. She has a family. She tells me she hates wearing clothes at home. When the kids are around, she put something light on, maybe one of her husbands t-shirts, only, that only go to the top of her crotch. And when they are not home, she is butt naked. She walks to her bathroom all the time with no clothes. One time her teenage daughter seen her going to the bathroom, her daughter said put her clothes on. She'd told her daughter that you have the same thing I have and you see me naked before. She came from a relaxed family and her grand parents went to a nudist club. Her family knows that she hardly wears clothes at home and when they come over she might have a skimmpy bikini on or just a very loose tank top on, only. Minorities love nudity too, but I think that they keep iin the home and to themselves.
I don't like to call myself "nudist" because it seems pretty restrictive to me.. kinda like some social club. but I am frequently nude at home, bare feet in public, people come over and pretty much expect that I'm gonna be barely dressed. I have answered the door topless (they're just boobs). I understand that a lot of people coming from the same background have been raised to be "morally right" that nudity was a form of perversion. I went barefoot to a family get together and that blew their brains. They even videotaped it and talking so, "Oh my gosh. I can't believe she did that!" I don't think I want to bring up being nude.
Hahaha, how sad is that that they video'd your feet. Sorry but that was funny! Topless/bottomless/shoeless....it's just skin we all have it, some skin just comes in different shapes and colours. Mark
Exactly. I prefer, at best, "natural". If a label fits, I'd say "human" (though a more politically correct term is "naturist").
My family finds me "strange".. LOL. Please feel free to laugh because I did as well. I like natural.. or feral.
