Has anyone ever heard of this hallucinogenic drink? Does it work?

are you referring to absinthe? I've had absinthe but in the u.s. Supposedly it has little to no wormwood in it, I was told it was 'the real deal' tho so who knows. I have also had wormwood in plant form and smoked it before.

The absinthe I had was just like being really drunk (think 151, everclear) no hallucinations though and when I smoked wormwood it was like a spacey light pot buzz for about an hour or so, pleasant but definitely not marijuana. I also tried a wormwood, damiana, mugwort tea but that tasted terrible and no noticeable effects, certainly none worthwhile enough to drink that crap again.

well it probably is. In Europe the absinthe supposedly has higher levels of wormwood in it. It was a very disappointing experience to me, certainly would not group it as a hallucinogen.

it tastes SO BAD that the minimal effects really arent worth it.... I guess if I lived where that was the only buzz that could be had it might have its benefits, but you are better off getting something that tastes better and has a stronger effect!

wormswood is the active ingredient in absinthe, but dont buy somthing because its rated 80 mg or 100 mg or what ever. the best absinthe will never tell you its wormswood level because it realy doesn't matter, wormswood will not make you hallucinate but will give you a different kind of high while getting drunk. if you ever actualy take a high enougth dose of wormswood you would probably just have a seizure.

what ever you do dont get the crap thats labeled 100 mg from some outback eastern european country that has no wormwood laws, you'll find that its undrinkable with little anise in and more importantly not real absinthe and only labeled to fools. you know i speak the truth because im from the UK, the only western european country that has no wormswood rules so the high mg wormswood would be easy for us to knock off but we dont.

you can find more info here: http://www.absintheonline.com/index.html
    just click "Truth about thujone"

real absinthe doesn't taste bad at all, it just tastes of aniseed
if you buy any I highly recomend Jade PF 1901

whats the source,, the op is looking to trip, wormwood can be made easily with mugwort. but if your looking to brew it, its likely to be unpredictable the effects youll have from it.. I think you will just get sick and puke.. and never want to do that bitter shit again.

I have absinthe, the best stuff is from here in Europe. Although, it didn't have any hallucinogenic effect, but the drunk feeling was pretty different.
