I heard someone doing a weird version of "Imagine" the other day, but I'm out of the loop and I don't know who any of the new bands are, so I couldn't tell you who it was. I heard Adam Sandler do "Werewolves of London," from the Enjoy Every Sandwich Zevon cover cd... that was awesome. I want it for my birthday... *wink*

I thought that might be who it was... I kind of liked it, but I kind of didn't. I'd have to hear it again.

Michael Jackson also did a cover of "Come Together." It actually sounds pretty good. Alien Ant Farm did a cover of MJ's "Smooth Criminal" which was completely amped-up with elec. guitars. Does that qualify as a one-hit wonder? I don't really keep up with Alien Ant Farm, so I wouldn't know.

Joan Baez' song, " Diamonds and Rust " was covered by Judas Priest.

I knew the Priest version for years, and was shocked to hear the Baez one, its a little softer.....lol.

Nazareth's " this flight tonight " is by Joni Mitchell, but I havent heard her version, so I can't say how different they did it.

I did a version of come together that was meant for laughs.

As Pavel (bravesirrubin) said, it sounded like a garage band that was obsessed with doing metal solos... hahahahha... I then clarified by saying I was trying to get that "Neil Young tone"... which, afterwards, made more sense. :D
