Note- I know I dont post here a lot but Im sure to get better comforting here.. I lost a friend last night. he got hit by a drunk driver, running a red light. Ive been down and out most of the day. didnt believe it at first, until I saw his face. I busted out crying. he was such a good guy. getting cleaned up and making people laugh in school. Im mad as hell that the driver walked away with minor injuries and here...a good innocent person is dead. A person i personally knew and liked. A lot of my friends knew him, we're in a group, all met in sophmore year. So its devastating in this small town next to Rockford. I cant stop thinking about it. I wont stop for awhile. I hated drunk driving before, now I hate it even more. I hope that asshole gets prison time for life! Uggh he was way too young http://www.wifr.com/home/headlines/101554973.html??
I am very sorry to read of your friend dying. No death is easy but a needless one is even harder to deal with. I hope that given time, the good memories you have will bring you comfort.:grouphug:
I'm very sorry to hear about your friend, it really sucks to lose someone suddenly. I hope you feel better soon.
I will in time. I just dont understand why he had to completely go. And the fucking drunk walks away clean. im so mad. I heard stories about other people getting hit but to have one of my own friends? This young go? I'll never understand. you never know man. when life is just going to end it for you. Damn
chances are, unless this driver has a record. he/she will not do time at all.. But a nice modified ARD program , where they can sit at home, enjoy the finest luxuries in life.. while under the supervision of the probation dept.. for a couple years..
they dont take stuff like this too lightly. record or not. most likely he will be getting manslaughter and underage drinking
That is terrible, I'm sorry this had to happen to you. I'm sending lots of love from Canada, and I hope you feel better soon, time heals. Peace!
That really sucks. I am sorry for your loss. Hopefully, this story will stop at least one person from drunk driving. I know it won't bring him back, but I think it's a nice thought.
I really hope it does. I let my cousin who recently got a dui, show him how much pain im in. hes thinking now. he better think. thank you for the love everyone. lets hope this does not happen again
My condolences for your loss. At the least, your friend is mourned by those who loved. Sadly, it will happen again. Often and soon. Countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, the British Isles......have lost their way when it comes to individual responsibility. Drink if you like (I know I do). Choof if you wish (I don't but I know many who do). But for the love of humanity, don't then put yourself in charge of 2 tons of lethal machinery. Again, hugs to the OP.
I'm so very sorry to hear this. I recently lost a friend as well. Her boyfriend hit her with his truck, and now she's gone and he's in jail waiting for a trial. It's never easy to lose someone you care about, especially in a violent way like an auto accident or something similar. My heart and prayers go out to you and your friend's family, I hope the drunk driver gets a very long prison sentence
Ok.. im sorry bout your loss.. but u know id never hurt your feelings intentionally. mks. here it is.. your states dui law. http://www.1800duilaws.com/illinois-dui-attorney/ This is a Class 4 felony punishable by a possible 1-3 years imprisonment. that can be implemented to house arrest and outside jail work release programs... I cant agree with this cause I see it as a homicide,, Id make a terrible police officer.. cause thats how I see it and would write it up as so. you see the defendant knows perfectly well they are committing a crime. They are intentionally driving a loaded gun down the road, pulling the trigger at random.. the people they hit. Thats Murder!!!!
