Hello all, I always feel compelled to post in the 'introduce yourself' threads, though I often wonder why? But hey, I am a father, a husband and a guy who just bought an old creepy house built in the 1800's & some acreage in Mid-Missouri, and a curious sort who never leaves a stone unturned. What I did find was a virtual forest of mushrooms that I have no clue about. Sooo, while searching around for some identification tips and edibility, I managed to trip across a thread on your forum and here I am. Hope you don't mind casual visitors who occasionally say "help, what is this growing in my yard?" as other posts seem to have some good answers! I have identified quite a few for a newbie, but have one that perplexes me a bit. I will put it in the appropriate forum, just curious what I have, and this thread isn't the place for it.
