I am just so thrilled, I HAVE to share this with someone. Today I finished making my 1st patchwork skirt. It is the first thing I have ever done on a sewing machine. Much to my suprise, it looks great. Not to mention, it only cost me $4 to make. This was the first of many more to come. Happy birthday patchwork skirt!
Conrats!...Hope you wear it for many years to come=).. My first one is going through surgery now its been beat down burnt stepped on and worn for far to long. I would love to see yours can you post a pic?... I'll try and get the cam to work..
Great! I want to make a long skirt for the holidayss, something quick and easy so no patchwork, heh :&
i have a patchwork skirt in the making, but i got some great material from joann's yesterday (big sale!) i'll post pictures once im done
hey rainbow girl! could you post some instructions and the material you used?? id LOVE to make a cute phatty patchy skirt!! i just don't know how! and plus, the only ones i can find are like $70!!!! boourns on that... $4 is AWESOME!! if its no trouble! thanks!
Sorry about not having a pic...I don't have a scanner but I should be getting one very soon. I bought the material at Joann Fabrics. The material was already patchwork, so I just layed one of my other skirts on the fabric, cut it out, and got to sewing. I want to do a completly homemade skirt, actually sewing the patchwork myself. I know it will take forever but it would be totally worth it. There should be a pic of it soon.
alright!! thanks so much!! we have a joann's here in my town... if i ask them where the "patchwork fabric" is, will they know what i am talking about?? thanks!! i know absolutely NOTHING about sewing! lol
They should know what you are talking about if you ask for Patchwork fabric. If all else fails, you could sew some random squares of fabric together and make your own, but it's much easier just to get the fabric already "patchworked" LOL. Yeah, I think I made up that word.
