I am just so thrilled, I HAVE to share this with someone. Today I finished making my 1st patchwork skirt. It is the first thing I have ever done on a sewing machine. Much to my suprise, it looks great. Not to mention, it only cost me $4 to make. :) This was the first of many more to come. Happy birthday patchwork skirt!

Sorry about not having a pic...I don't have a scanner but I should be getting one very soon.

I bought the material at Joann Fabrics. The material was already patchwork, so I just layed one of my other skirts on the fabric, cut it out, and got to sewing. I want to do a completly homemade skirt, actually sewing the patchwork myself. I know it will take forever but it would be totally worth it.
There should be a pic of it soon.

They should know what you are talking about if you ask for Patchwork fabric. If all else fails, you could sew some random squares of fabric together and make your own, but it's much easier just to get the fabric already "patchworked" LOL. Yeah, I think I made up that word. :)
