Hi group people. Long time no post. I do run away, but I do come back. I put up a set on my Flickr for showing off three years (and six months) of my dreads. http://www.flickr.com/photos/eccentricbohemian/sets/72157624858122580/ here's the link. My hair is feral, really thick and wild. I love them. So freeing. I just use temporary hair color spray if I want a change. But I do like my hair. Although the random people coming up and touching it without asking is strange. I used no wax or any method of doing them. Just actually really let them do their own thing and probably twisted them as I did daily activities. I think in the first few months, I twisted when I got out of the shower or body of water.
Yah! Question. Do my dreads look fake.. or something? I get people constantly asking me where I bought them or if they are real? I get confused.. and then walk away.
Probably so.. they are the win. *yea win!!* People are used to thin dreads, I suppose. Or they are used to people with salon, clip on, dread extensions or hair falls things.. so seeing real live dreads might hurt their brains.
People do tend to expect tiny dreads, and that probably makes them less likely to see what's up. Also, the texture of dreads often confuses people as to their composition. You have sick dreads, got any pictures of the back?
I just added a photo of the back of them. i seem to have a lot of dreads back there. I don't pay attention I probably would look funny with skinny dreads with my hair being so thick.
*stabs with spork* Thank you. I have a feeling they will be heavy when they reached mid back... a decade from now..
