when he starts driving people away, how much better is his agent? How big is the audience when he has to rehash the same gags for a laugh? His political satire is the same heckle he used in 1992. Im sorry you have noticed him so recently that it hasnt gotten old for you yet.

Like other great comedians before him, Jon has managed to start driving away those people he was trying to reach. Not the ones who hate him already, or the ones who love him - their minds are made up. Its the rest of us in the middle that hes wearing on.

hes alot like george carlin, very funny the first few times, but most folks build a tolerance to the same punchlines. That is why Mel Brooks is a great comedian, and Jon Stewart has a news parody show.

I dont differentiate him from other "media" because he spouts the same drivel. Call it comedy, call it satire, call it editorial it is the same thing and I dont want to swallow what he or anyone else wants to push down my throat. If you do, fine, but dont throw me under the bus for not playing along. Its his show, fine, but dont give me shit for not watching him yet again, just let me know when he does something new.

The Daily Show jumped the Shark long ago, all thats left is for Ted McGinley to come in and drive the final nail.

I tend to agree with this statement...He may not have a huge bag of jokes but with credit also to his staff, the shows are always at worst funny, at best brilliant, bordering on art.

Sorry, HipChris for getting so far off topic...
