I've been reading bits and pieces of the bible lately and if i remember correctly, isaigh 55 talks of how the Lord is gonna make new heavens and earth and how all the animals will live in peace, and that all nations will come to worship the lord at the same temple. also jesus said dont lay up treasures on earth where moth and rush doth corrupt and thiefs break through and steal, but in the kingdom of heaven where that does not happen. how exactly to you put up treasures in the kingdom of heaven? and are we gonna be eternal beings in peace someday?
well, whenever i was little and i would do a good deed or something nice for somebody, especially if it was something i didn't want to do, my grandmother would say "don't worry, you're pilin' up riches in heaven!" so i guess that's one idea, that thru our christ-like acts, we're putting money in the big bank in the sky.
I once played this horrible game by some girl I used to like in high school who was a pretty conservative "non denominational" Protestant where you literally got "Heaven bucks" for doing good things within the universe of the game, memorizing John 3:16, and having the luck of the draw for certain cards. Even though I was probably pretty similar I belief to herb at that point, it made me very uncomfortable. We are eternal being right now if you consider our souls. Will everyone experience peace, not likely. Will we be rolling around in heavenly gold for eternity, not likely. Heaven is more like being fully surrounded and engulfed by the love and power of God. An incredible and intimate communion with the divine.
I think this passage refers to the fact that our so-called "treasures" are not those of this earth...now whether you want to interpret it literally that one day, as energy beings there will be peace among animals and men, etc - Many people that consider themselves Christians would say that's a ways off. I personally think it was saying not only that our true "treasures" are those we build within, loving God being number 1...but that one day, yes indeedy, one fine day all will be at peace, basically. In that, I can see that there will be justice available to those that are not interested in a single piece of true treasure now...but then, that is not very nice nor Christian of me to say. But still, it works for me.
Lookin out my window I watch the clouds roll by I look to see eternity In the endless rolling sky You cannot think of eternity Think of anything in time You try to think, you try to count You just mess up your mind Blow your mind Eternity Eternity Baby, I love you You love me Let's love each other through eternity Since before when a man could see There was eternity After man have come and gone Eternity lingered on Anything crawl, creep, or fly Just live until they die I love you, honey you love me Let's love each other through eternity Eternity Eternity Baby, I love you You love me Let's love each other through eternity When I'm thinkin bout life, we don't know When it all could be in vain Lucky child, this for sure is the Greatest gift to man Music and love, can't explain Try and understand Greatest thing could ever be is We make love through eternity Make love through eternity When the world think our defeat Think that we are gone We'll still have our place of peace Love will linger on We won't care just what who say In this shameful life We'll still have our greatest gift Love won't never die Never die Never die Love won't never die Never die...
