black metal that doesn't suck

does it exist? can metal be this hard without being cheap? i love good black metal but the majority of it is dog piss. post up some good shit

I've sure never heard any that didn't sound like unorchestrated (or poorly orchestrated) noise.

duck: i like some Anaal Nathrakh, Burzum, i like Dimmu Borgir's drums a lot, but not always the rest of it. i like driving percussion, without vocals preferrably. i love some God of Shamisen's metal songs, like Storm Tower Attack.

i really like sludge metal like electric wizard, acid bath...if there is something like this in the realm in black metal, i'd like to hear it.

 

Ah, I forgot Dimmu Borgir, they have some decent songs.

I didn't think God of Shamisen was black metal...

 

and darkthrone...i love the instrumentals, but hate the vocals.

i loved these guys until i saw them live. they ayed at a small club at that i've played at before and it was shit.... biggest "black" metal posers out there.

 

Really? Fuckin' A, maybe they were having a bad night or something? I don't know. I haven't seen them live before, I just enjoy most of their studio discography, don't care about their image and whatnot

 

they tried to be all satanic and shit. the singer put a "curse" on the crowd which was pathetic because the guys dumb hick accent came out when he talked. then he made the crowd chant "drink beer, eat pussy, smoke weed"..

theyre supposed to be some satanic devil praising band and then they shout out something like that? disgrace to bla k metal.

Well thats what satanism is all about well part of it. Its to do as you please and be selfish. So in a sense they are right.....
