I agree with dazed.I won't say it's bad,it's just not AIC.That would be like pantera without dime,or the new version of GnR axls trying to pull.For that matter,it's gonna be hard for avenged sevenfold to replace the rev.A band isn't a machine,you can't always just replace a part.When you change members,the chemistry & the dynamic changes also.2 other examples.I saw the misfits with michael graves singing.great show,but not glenn danzig.& look how bad the who sucked after keith moon died.

 

I think op just stated he like the song, I don't see any comparisons to old AIC or anything like that.

 

I'm a bit of a snob. If I hear one too many cliches, it's out for me. So I give this song a thumbs down.

The only Alice in Chains album I ever really liked was Jar of Flies, though. Their heaver stuff never did it for me in the first place.

Layne is dead, so it's a new era for them. Props to 'em for still giving us new music and it actually being a pretty decent, not some half baked shit just made for them to cash in.

I simply stated that I can't stand cliche song lyrics. I never argued that Jar of Flies was somehow more "grunge" than Dirt. In fact, I never mentioned Dirt or grunge at all. Just said Jar of flies was the only AIC album I liked. But since this is only my 9th post, I guess my opinion doesn't count.
