So I did DMT for the first time over Labor Day weekend. I must say, it was incredible. I am no stranger to psychedelics but DMT stunned me. Nothing can prepare you for that initial pull into the trip. It is so intense, the only thing I can liken it to would be like being sucked into a vacuum. It's terrifying in that instant but once you're there, man, you are there. A kaleidoscope of colors and lights, weaving and shifting, forming faces and shapes. The whole time I felt like Alice falling down the Rabbit Hole, in that things got "curiouser and curiouser" the more time I stayed in the trip. I saw Mara who smiled at me and transformed into a rainbow of Celtic knots which spiraled out of recognition into just colors and lines. And then out of nowhere, I felt pure joy. Like, unadulterated, unabashed, intoxicating bliss. I remember smiling and laughing out loud, prompting one of the folks in the room to laugh since he was watching me. And then slowly, the visuals faded. I felt like my body was heavy yet I was somehow floating. I stayed that way until I came down. I smoked more over the course of the weekend, of course, but I can't recall anything else that was ultra specific. That happiness, though, that bliss...every single time I felt it. I don't know what, if any, significance the smiling Mara had. Only maybe to show me to release my demons, face my fears? Who knows. All I know is that this is indeed an extremely powerful and sacred drug, which should be used for spiritual or ritual reasons only. Approaching DMT with caution and utmost respect is a must. I've heard it described like acid or shrooms. That's partially true, what remains intangible is the feeling that you are being guided while on DMT as opposed to acid or shrooms in which you "just" trip. I've been a pretty strong atheist for quite a few years now and all it took was one DMT experience to challenge that. I still don't believe in god but I don't believe we are utterly alone anymore either (if that makes any sense, I really don't want to make this into a faith vs no faith thing.) Anyway I'll stop rambling on right about now.

    Peace & Love.

Wow sounds like a very powerful, transformative trip. You described it very well for it being such a new experience. It truly is very powerful stuff that indeed deserves respect.
I do think LSD, and shrooms in particular, can feel guided by forces outside oneself but I will agree the entities of Dmt seem to be extremely intelligent and autonomous and the drug comes on with an overwhelming force. I enjoyed reading your account.

    Thank you very much. :)

Yeah, I was taken aback by the intelligence that I felt. Very acutely aware of it.

It was a weekend that has definitely changed my life, due to a number of factors, but the DMT played a very large role in that. Absolutely.

Thanks again for the positivity! :)

Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience. Wonderful report. i am so glad you had such a positive initial experience. Clearly it affected you deeply. i know i am comfortable (& i suspect others are too) in saying i know exactly what you mean about the feelings and the presence(s) and the challenge to atheism. What a magical molecule!

Thanks for sharing that Rider. I was looking for/at other "first timer" reports and really appreciate yours. You seem to capture what I just experienced (I say just but it's been a couple of hours now and it's still "on my mind").
