my baby is having yellow spots on its first two leaves, one of the leaves started to curl up, the other leaf have yellow spots and i saw one hole on it. i do not know what to do or what the problem is. my baby is already a month old and still is growing slow. I'm a starter at growing weed. please help.
soil grow?,, hot spot, root bound.. Plants are plants so try not to panic when a plant gets a funny leaf.. Picture would help. Thanks-ThankYou.htm
i saw small spots and holes on the first and second set of leaves, i think spider mites did this, i saw strains of web on it before i saw the holes. i don't know why or maybe its the root stunting. i used normal loam soil, and mixed a little of potting mix. i am not using nutes yet.
ok spider mite can do this.. I kill mine with FLEA foggers, just snip back the trigger catch with a nail clipper.. give a quick mistly blast where they are. or you can got out your way to get something that will do the same thing..
I have the same problem but I found tiny green worms. I cant find anything on these little bastards what would you recomend using to kill and keep these worms away?
worms sound like gnats.. same, mist the soil with a bit that.. let dry out some.. this is a sign sometimes your over watering..
OK i still haven't check my greens yet. i left them outside for a while, and its really raining hard for two days. i don't think they are still alive. anyways, if ever they are id be very happy. @orison: isn't spraying bad for the health of plants? or is there any alternatives for killing those mites and gnats?
Get yourself some neem oil, garden centers usually have it. Spray each leaf top and bottem every other day for a couple of weeks, then maybe twice a week after that to stay pest free.
the cotyledons are not detached and dead. the first set of leaves it bore are now yellow. is this normal?
that neem oil is good, costly though.. bad for plants. idk,, either its seeping into my plants and thats whats getting me high or I just am a little more ghetto and versatile when it gets down to it.. no the mist will not hurt your plants, if you dont allow it to cake on to them.. I had a deep infestition of spider mite, first they had a box on the corner, then squatted a house, got organized, built a condo, a few hotels, really quick moving suckers wedding everywhere.. that when i nuked them .. a few little blasts in the main locations they were. Even caking the leaf a bit cause I can be brutal with my stuff. no problems in growth, leafs look great, no staining.. No MITES.. Spider mite and some other plant bugs are of the Arachnid family. easy to kill with Permethrin... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acaricide try though to use in vegetative stange, not when plant is flowering..
Ya could try Seranade for garden pests, it's worked well for me, and as it says on the label veggies can be consumed after so many hours. I've used it right up harvest when nessesary, since drying and curing take 3-4 weeks (for better results, 8 weeks for best results) all residue is gone, at least I'm still here to tell about it;>)
Don't know how to rid the area of the worms, but if you don't get them all they will metamorphose into a plague of horny little moths . . .
Yes and no, start a new thread with pics so we may see the plant:>) We don't want to hijack this thread.
