Dude, can anyone actually always lucid dream? Sometimes I can notice I'm in a dream but onlt 40% of the time I try to control it. Last night I tried and when dreamt too big, it got all fuzzy as if I had a limit. I guess i could only take on party tricks. Other times I can summon volcanoes and shit. What about you people?
i've had a bunch since i was a kid.. i'm not sure how they happen, though.. sorry i don't have advice :/
I had a dream my dad shot me, this isnt the first time ive died in a dream either. Why is this happening?
I die in my dreams. But usually I jump off a building because the dream sucks. Anyway, is there something you don't like in your life? Do you have any enemies? Are you paranoid at all?
Iam pretty normal these days, i dont knwo though my dreams are crazy. Ive drowned in them, and other crazy ones. Someone ever have a dream containing a dinosaur?
I lucid dream every time I nap almost. Naps are addictive, because I just drift off into dreamland 4 seconds after I close my eyes. Just today I was dreaming of being chased, then I just floated away and landed on a large sculpture of a giant head and watched my dream. If you ever notice you're in a dream just start spinning in the dream, and concentrate on staying conscious but asleep, that always helps me when I feel like I'm about to lose it.
ive had a lot lately, i usualy have semi control.. i cant fly, but i know im dreaming and just do whatever the fuck i feel like. 90% of my lucid dreams turn into sex dreams..
i take melatonin and theanine every night as sleep supplements. melatonin makes me dream a LOT, and they are really vivid. which is actually very odd because prior to when i started taking melatonin i was NEVER having dreams anymore... i always go to bed stoned, and i just kind of attributed the not dreaming thing to going to be ripped when i fall asleep every single night but yeah, the melatonin really makes my dreams lucid... seems to also make them more strange/bizzarre... but that part could be in my head. anybody else take melatonin and experience this? it happens only on nights when i take the melatonin and, never happens when i dont take it.... so theres gotta be something more there than just placebo i would think
Watch Waking Life. I watched that yesterday and in the movie it says while you're dreaming flick the lights on and off to see if they're responsive. Then you can realize if you're dreaming or not. I did that the same night (last night) and I didn't catch I was dreaming. Same thing, I have on several occasions looked down at my hand to see if I was dreaming but I didn't catch it. So far I have not had a lucid dream. If you want to try it, know it's going to take a lot of effort and dedication. It can be frustrating.
My thing is, I always had lucid dreams as a child; and they just happened. Now, I don't know how to force them -- and really can't be assed to prepare for lucid dreaming, when I already have so much trouble falling asleep some nights. Marijuana does inhibit REM sleep, which is the phase where dreaming (and most of the benefits of sleep) happen.
I used to have a bottle of diphenhydramine sleeping pills that I took and they made my dreams fucking nuts. Like, I would walk through a door and be on a pirate ship instead of WW2. I would keep waking up in the night though. Never had a lucid dream on them though. I started getting them more often when I stopped taking them.
Well, I develop the habit when I'm awake to look at my hand so that that thought may come into my dream and I can check. That's why it's a tactic. A lot of people don't just realize they're in a dream all of a sudden.
