you'll become a rainbow warrior when the time is nice. when it rains, it pours, knowing not understanding, reacting on a whim, understanding the prism, unlocking your subconsious and using it like and "air-bender" merging the underground with the overground, and everything in between....knowing that we are stardust with or without medication. copyrite, amanda

the rainbow warrirors were apparently written about by a native person prophesying that they would save the world. you could look it up online and find out more about it. I'm pretty sure people just started calling in the rainbow family because they don't want to be associated with war.

regular rainbows arch horizon to horizon ; warriors make a circle

figures there would be a bunch of non-answers to this question....''seek your answer in this book you will''[yoda]

OP-it is a upper echelon clique of rain bows that think they are somehow wiser because they have managed to stay ''stuck'' in poverty longer than you....they do the scrapping if an outsider hurts a rainbow person

I's a bit of Native American culture that has been adopted by the largely suburban white boy "Rainbow" family. I wish the term would go away. Ask an Afghan how much use he has for a warrior of any type. I know, I know, there's "the way of the peaceful warrior" or some such zen sounding thing, but too many of the damn hippies seem to be having problems with the "Peaceful" part of that. Just remember, fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity.

an enemy of the Rainbow sure knows who is a Rainbow warrior
and what a warrior can do to them when they gets touched to the heart by one of them flaming flashy spirit thingys . and who is the enemy ? those who carelessly and
    arrogantly choose to be .

Once again... You can't have one sided peace.

Ask the peaceful people in Rwanda what happens when peaceful people are confronted by non-peaceful ones...

Oh wait... You can't ask them... they are dead...

As long as human beings are involved, there will never be a universal peace. All it takes is ONE person who decides to be violent and the whole idea breaks down...

How do you stop that one person without using violence? Those who go try to teach him the errors of his way using words will get killed out of hand...

What happens when that person comes to your home and decides they wish to rape or kill your family?

Are you going to try to negotiate a peace with him... maybe let him rape one? How about if he agrees to not kill anyone, and just rapes everyone?

What happens when your children are without food and your neighbor says they wont share theirs with you? Are you going to peacefully accept that? The neighbor isnt likely to change their mind if it means their children will go without... So are you going to sit by peacefully while your children starve?

Peace is a great concept... unfortunately it clashes with free will... and you will never see both universally applied to the human race...

    Good post Tom,
Though a sad reality, your words ring true.
Hopefully cool heads could negotiate some compromise, but folks are awfully afraid of letting go of their stuff.
Greed seems to be the ruler of the heart more and more as time passes.

Well, people being afraid to lose what they have is part of the control that is built into our systems.

In general, it is amazing how many people you can control when you use that fear of loss against them.

Don't think its just a governmental thing either... it has spread to every aspect of our societies, even places where you would expect just the opposite to happen...

Its quite the interesting 'trick' too... You can say to someone whom has lost everything they have except for a dirty sock, If you do X, I will take that sock away, and the majority of people will fall in line... even if that line means they will never have a chance to get a pair of clean socks... its enough that they wont lose that dirty sock they already have.

Personally, I would prefer someone came and took the fucking sock away and have it eliminated as a bludgeon to control me...

Which is why when someone tells me they will take my dirty sock away if I don't follow them, I generally throw the sock in their face...

When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds, and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again. They will be known as the warriors of the Rainbow -- Old Native American Prophecy

I was under the impression that the Rainbow Family grew out of this prophecy.
