hi, im glen ive been trying to find a commune type place, the 1st that comes to mind is the hog farm,, can any one tell me how they react to "hi im here kinda stuff?" im livin in vegas now,, further be here in a week,, woot!!! but i am getting the hell out of here, 10 years to long in this town. so right now im throwin darts at the map. im very skilled in all types of building maint,, a/c tech,, plumber,,,,,, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated,,,, peace
Hey glen,my advice would be to contact whatever community you want to join/visit and set up a meet and greet kinda thing. They always need people with your kind of skills,there are plenty of them out there too.Try IC.org

hey bro, im very new here, ive web searched just about everything i came up with slim pickens for what im looking for. i think its you have to take the journey, meaning go and find it,or make it yourself.i have about a grand, a good working small suv, and all my tools, guitars and some recording equiptment, im gonna head out northern cali way and see what there is to stumble upon.no way does a working, cool place advertise, theyd get overrun, im sure lessons have been learned.if shangri la is easy to find, then it wouldnt be shangri la for long,, ya dig?good luck bro,, and wish me the same,im leaving saturday
